I had my vasectomy about 6 months ago. My doctor made a single midline
incision, and I believe he only sealed the "downstream" end of the tubes,
leaving the testicle-side open. He did pinch the nerve a little as he
exposed the right side through the incision; my knee jerked up reflexively
and almost knocked him in the head. I still have varying levels of
discomfort or pain, usually on the right, but only as I become aroused, that
is as my scrotum tightens. I wonder if the nerve pull was on the same side
only coincidentally--I would think any real damage would give constant pain,
not just during arousal. And the right side was the first side he did, so
the anesthesia may not have been at full force yet, as far as that nerve
pull goes. I read some of the related posts, but would still appreciate any
comments or advice.
