I went back to the doctor who did the vasectomy and he told me the cause
of the pain is due to scar tissue. I'm thinking it's all due to
pressure build up in the vas deferens on the right side. My questions
are: Pressure build up of what? Why does it only effect the right
side? What can be done about it? I don't want to live on pain killer
drugs.
TIA,
Dave
I have a similar condition that came up after my vasectomy 10 years ago.
Sometimes my pelvis also "gives out" when I'm walking, and I have alot of
difficulty getting an errection. My doctors are all uninterested in helping
me, saying it's psychological. I know it's physical. Have you had any more
success? Do you have any suggestions as to how I might find relief or who
could help me with this? Thanks!

I am now taking septra and concentrating on relaxing my abdomen and also
using the pad on my car seat. Things are improving except for the
urinating problem. I may go back to see the doc over it. I hope he
sees me because my last appointment I screwed up and went in with a
preconceived notion of what my problem was.

Before you buy.
This could be a prostate problem. Have you had your prostate checked lately?

Thanks for your advice. I'm starting to see what's going on here. Tell
me if this link may apply to my condition. It sounds exactly like what
I have. http://www.prostate.org/muscle.html
Thanks,

You may be on to something here. And it sounds as though you could try
out the recommended remedies yourself, without doing any harm. Maybe
that will clear up the problem. But I would still go see a doc.
Prostatitis is notoriously hard to treat and apparently not well
understood, and patients are well advised to educate themselves about
it--you should take a look at the prostate website we reference at our
site below (I think the link you mention is part of it) and the
associated newsgroup for more info. But it is best to have a doctor
working with you, so he/she can at least rule things out (including
cancer). And that takes, at the very least, an educated finger. (I will
avoid going into details!)
Good luck!
