I was afraid I would spring an erection during it, but that never even
came close to happening. Guess the valium worked pretty good!

Try researching the subject first, find independent opinions. There is
a lot of positive propaganda available so make it a point to read
negative accounts to get a full picture before you decide... and be
careful with “come on in the water is fine” advice.
Check it out for yourself. Your call, your decision, you live with the
results, its no joke.

I just made an appointment for the consultation in 2 weeks and will keep
posted here.
Really the only thing I'm concerned about is possibility of long-term
post-vasectomy pain, since I'm a cyclist and would hate to have the Big
V and live with discomfort or pain while cycling and curtail my cycling.
Is anyone living with low level pain that might be exacerbated by
bicycling? Looking at USENET messages on the subject, it seems that the
majority don't have this discomfort, but some people do have a problem
with post-vasectomy pain and some even had a reversal to deal with it.
What may make a difference is the recovery time you allow yourself. My
doctor advised me that if I did contact sports to lay off them for at least
6 weeks even if I felt OK.
Have to say I don't - unless you count heavy lifting (beer glasses to
mouth).
Maybe you need to follow that advice, and lay off it for some time, even if
you feel OK. If you go back to it too soon you'll do yourself a mischeif!
