Hi Daniel,

Actually, I did experience this, but the soreness was confined to the
right side (the one that hangs higher). For me this came about a year
after the vas. The good news is, it doesn't happen much any more
(almost 8 years after). Also, it was always very mild. If you're
having more serious pain, I'd have it checked out. I can add that I
also experienced some mild soreness in the first year after the vas.
But instead of being relieved by ejac., ejac seemed to cause it--more
particularly, multiple ejacs in the same session. Again, the soreness
was only on the right side and was very mild.

My theory is that in the first year after, I'd get soreness because
heavy sex would cause sperm to build-up and stress the tube and/or
apply back-up pressure to the nut. I think after the first year, small
fissures developed in the seal, allowing sperm to escape during the
usual contractions of orgasm (these contractions apparently occur all
along the vas tubes even after vasectomy). As a result of release
through these fissures, I no longer experience soreness due to back
pressure UNLESS I go too long without ejac. Well, that's my theory.
lol

Anyway, to recapitulate: I don't think what you are experiencing is
that unusual after vasectomy. But if the pain is more than mild, and
if it is getting worse rather than better, I'd go see the doc. You
might even want to talk to him about it just to put your mind at ease.

I had my vasectomy done back in August and have the occasional tinge
of pain, but it's usually just after ejaculation. When I do have the
slight bit of pain, it's usually after some aggressive intercourse
and I'd always figured that was the cause. The feeling was kind of
like almost getting kicked in the nuts, but a glancing blow? I'd
maybe not even call it pain, but soreness.

If it were painful, I'd talk with my doctor and see if this is
something to be concerned about.

I had mine done in November of 2005, and if you've read any of the
archives...you'd know that I am one of the biggest whiners around, LOL!
To this day, I still have a degree of pain, but (as a note of optimism)
each episode seems to be shorter and less intense...but there IS STILL
some pain there.
Like Trifo, my pain is associated with the right testicle - which, for
some reason seems to want to hang HIGHER and protrude more than his
partner. This makes him succeptible to those "glancing blows" and from
time to time, he also seems to swell to almost rock-hard consistency
and takes on a funny shape too! Instead of being football shaped like
the other, it's more like a pear or an eggplant!
The Urologist doesn't seem to think I'm experiencing anything out of
the ordinary...and from what I've read in this forum, some guys can
take over a year to be completely PAIN FREE, and others never achieve
that, although they are in the minority.
Sex has returned to "normal" for me...in that we have had TWO
concurrent sessions without ANY sort of pain. The sensation is a bit
diminished, but I attribute that to the fact that I haven't been
"tested" yet so we are still using condoms!

Hopefully this brings you some comfort. Vasectomy is a HUGE step and in
a lot of cases, there is more pain and discomfort than they tell you to
expect at the onset.
This group has been a Godsend for information and in dispelling a lot
of the horrors you read about!
You're not alone...we have BEEN THERE, or are going through it!

I had an OENSV in Feb 2004. I had intermittent pain up until a year or
so post op. Seemed to have been caused by vigorous sexual activity -
like more than 2-3X within one night. I had random low grade pain
also, that usually went away with application of a heating pad.
