Hey !
I probably know what this is. The same happens to me sometimes. A doctor
told me this is due to vibrations of the a muscle that stretches the
ear-drum. This muscle contracts and relaxes and so on. You probably have
nocticed other muscles doing this. For expample a muscle under my eyes
does this sometimes.
When the muscle around the eardrum contracts, you hear better, when it
relaxes the noise input to the inner ear is reduced. The behavior of this
muscle is related to the general tension in your body. When I am stressed,
this vibrating-effect occurs more often. Drinking coffe affects it too.
I think that there is no danger - but if it would make you feel better,
just ask a doctor.
