Levothyroxine question

Ok so i've been taking this for about 3 days, insteado f synthroid..

is it supposed to be gross and spongy?

as soon as it gets in my mouth it dissolves and is harder to swallow [than
synthroid]

Synthroid went down more easily and didn't start dissolving instantly.

Synthroid *is* levothyroxine. Perhaps your subject line meant
Levoxyl, or maybe Levothroid, other brand names of levothyroxine...
Anyway, levothyroxine is the generic name, and may be how your
script was written. You can ask your pharmacist exactly which
one was used.

I am thinking I saw something recently on the reformulation of
one of them (too bad I can't recall exactly which; since I'm on
Armour, I don't pay too much attention) that actually had to
change its packaging to instruct the patient to take the pill
with a glass of water for exactly the reason you state. I can
usually take most pills without water, but the formulation of
that one brand apparently disintegrates so quickly in the mouth
that it is, well, gross. Again, your pharmacist should know.

I know that with my levoxyl, if I don't wash it down with large gulps of
water, it will stick in my throat.
