Clinical Content Developer – Contract

Our client is a fast growing start-up organization that is backed by
one of the most influential healthcare companies in the world.
Started in 2007, the team is still small and the opportunity to have a
significant impact is present for everyone. We are currently looking
for a Clinical Content Developer to join the team on a contract basis.
As the Clinical Content Developer, your proven success in clinical
product design, development, and data analysis related to clinical
care pathways will be essential to this role. You will research,
analyze, and develop clinical content, rules, and protocols for the
delivery of higher quality care. In addition, you will research and
conduct critical appraisals of medical and academic literature,
interface with clinicians, and synthesize feedback from consultants
and clients. The Clinical Content Developer is also responsible for
ensuring quality (QA) of the product in all phases and versions, and
managing stakeholder questions and concerns.

This is a contract opportunity that could last up to 1 year. Candidate
will have the opportunity to work from home, but will be required to
work in the Newton, MA office 1-2 days each week.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Work with members of a high performance clinical team and
external consultants to design, develop, and update clinical content,
rules, and protocols to be included in a new decision support software
and service, currently under development
· Translate complex research, clinical information, and
technical specifications into precise knowledge-base requirements and
protocols.
· Provide detailed requests for enhancements to processing and
analysis logic
· Interpret and integrate different code groupings and
schematics into meaningful units of analysis, especially for diagnosis
to procedure/therapy mapping
· Communicate with project managers in developing project plans,
monitoring tasks and ensuring on-time delivery of clinical development
projects
· Serve as a liaison between clinical product development and
technology product development
· Create and ensure high quality, up to date, clinical
documentation of rules and other clinical content
· Develop and maintain understanding of clinical content across
a variety of procedures, care pathways, and levels of care. Ensure
consistency via the QA process across all products and platforms

Requirements:

· 5+ years current clinical/healthcare experience with emphasis
on utilization review, case management, managed care, data analysis
and/or quality assurance
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· High level of computer proficiency
· Research capabilities, writing experience, project management
skills, and knowledge of clinical coding schemes and Microsoft Visio a
plus.
· Specific knowledge involving advanced diagnostic testing
(including but not limited to molecular diagnostics) and/or clinical
imaging is highly desirable
· Specific experience and/or interest in evidence-based medicine
is also highly desirable
· Experience in genetics, laboratory or oncology is a plus
