I used to hang out here about 8 years ago. I stayed quit about 3 years
that time. Then one cigarette here, a couple more there, and I was
completely off the wagon.
But today all that changes. I'm quitting for good this time, and I'm
glad to be back. I remember y'all were a great and supportive bunch
that helped me through some rough times!

Hey Karen, I wasn't here at that time, but I will try to encourage
your hatred of the Big Tobacco Mafia cartel, and your derision of the
"experts" who try to pawn off the idea (or hypnotic suggestion) that
quitting can be easy for anyone and everyone.
Are you using Zyban again? I agree that it was a godsend, at least for
me.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end
of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

Yep, Zyban & patches right now. To my surprise and delight, Day 1 has
been a lot less hellish than I remember from last time!
Karen - Free and healing for 23 Hours and 9 Minutes, while extending
my life expectancy 1 Hour, by avoiding the use of 14 death sticks that
would have cost me $3.38.
Terrific! I'd guess you can probably taper down the patch trickle
dosage fairly soon too. I wish I had used both from the start rather
than waiting three months like a stubborn, masochistic idiot. The
Zyban made things perfectly bearable, but I would still get a fairly
strong craving now and then.

Welcome back Karen! I want to welcome you to the tubs this day next
year! All the best to you!
