So far so good! Official quit time, 12/31/09 at 8:34pm.

Didn't think about smoking much today, maybe 2 or 3 times actually wanted to
smoke. Most of the urges passed quickly until now.

Been wanting a smoke for the last 1/2 hour and it doesn't seem to be going
away. Decided to do a quick post here and then jump in bed, hopefully
sleep gets rid of the crave :)

I have been quit for 1 Day, 31 minutes and 4 seconds. I have saved $5.10 by
not smoking 20 cigarettes. I have saved 1 hour and 40 minutes of my life.
My Quit Date: 12/31/2009 8:34 PM

You are doing really, really well. If you can't sleep take a shower or
wash dishes or something that makes it hard to smoke while doing.

Great job!

I have always found that sleep is a wonderful way to kill urges to
smoke. Wise choice!

Cheers,

You've got a good quit started NYNQ. I found for the longer craves,
getting busy doing something that required my mental focus helped draw my
thoughts away quickly. For others, I could make a decision to think
about something else, and that would work. And for a few, it was just
clenching my fists, taking a deep breath or two, and waiting it out. One
thing that always helped me though is what you did; I posted what was
going on to AS3. Somehow, the simple act of sharing how I feel, lessons
the adverse stuff going on and enables me to move on.

The first few days can be tough, but it really does get better after
those.

I am certainly late to this threat, NYNQ, but you are so on target
that sleeping does kick the crave as well as help you to rebuild some
of the damage that smoking has done! I do hope to see you posting
with us often!
