My live has changed so much sine I was active here. Everything is good!!
Still married, 17+ years now, quite happily. We have more contact with his
daughter since we joined FaceBook, still pretty limited but I'm happy she
and our girls here converse a little. My daughter changed her name to ours
early this year. Her Dad finally went to trial a couple years ago for the
things that happened in his home. She has had no contact and I hadn't had
to see or deal with him in forever. She is working full time and doing part
time local college and seems pretty happy and pretty healthy. Our baby will
have her license next month and is doing great.

I've been unemployed for 18 mo out of the last 2 years. I finally took a
retail job and started yesterday because I miss working and it would be
nice to have a few extra dollars to fund our summer fun. I don't know what
to hope for anymore - would really like to do office administration like I
was but that door isn't open to me right now (or there is so much
competition that I just keep on not getting chosen).

How are you? I barely remember anyone from the group, and only check it a
couple times a year so very surprised to see your post!!

I'm glad things are working out for you! And all of your family.
Married 17 years! There are a lot of people that wish they could say that!
My son is now eight and we had a daughter since I was last on this
group. She is nineteen months now. My step-son will be 21 this year. He
moved out with his girlfriend a little over a year ago. Kinda funny because
she has a son, so he is sort of a step parent himself now. They seem to be
doing well. Family dynamics have changed a lot since the old days!!
I have been out of work since my daughter was born. She has Down
Syndrome and we do a lot of therapy which is paying off. She is my little
sunshine! Both the boys love her. She is the biggest daddy's girl I have
ever seen in my life! And he is a big mushy pushover for her. When I was
pregnant with her and were waiting to see if she was a girl or boy he kept
saying hee only made boys. Now he says it just took him the third try to get
it right!
I'm glad you found a job. I hope it works out the way you want it to. At
least till you find what you really want. Have some of that Summer fun for
me too! I'm in South Carolina. What state are you in?

Hi Wanda! We are in Texas. I had dinner with 2 girlfriends a couple weeks
ago and they had been married 28 years and 24 years and us 17 years. It is
rare these days, isn't it?

Congrtats on the baby!! I bet she is a Sweetie. I held a baby the other
day, the first time in forever.

I only lasted a month in retail. I love the job but my body/schedule just
doesn't work nights. They really can't do any kind of regular schedule. So
it was nice to be working for a while and I got a great discount on a couple
new tops, but I'm really looking forward to July and getting back to the gym
and doing the things that I really love.

So glad to catch up with you!! And hear the step angst is gone now - what a
relief!!
