Bindel's original artcle at http://standpointmag.com/node/2298/full
is a mildly amusing rant which shows she has only the most
superficial notions about what constitutes actual identity.

The fact that it's not uncommon for members of one oppressed
minority group to participate in oppressing others just speaks volumes
about human nature though, doesn't it?

Life is such a big bowl of cherries...

Bindel is clearly a bit over the top, but she does raise some legitimate
issues in her writings. Of course, Bindel is very confused about the whole
issue. As a radical feminist, she opposes any concept that holds that there
is any biological determination of what most would call "gender." But. at
the same time she tries to hold that men (who she would defined strictly on
the basis of having been born with a penis) cannot possibly be women,
because, well because somehow having been born with a penis affects their
brain.

The problem with Bindel, as with a lot of other critics of transsexuals and
those with HBS, is that they cannot differentiate between those who really
are men...those who are more properly classified as transgender or
autogynephile. Of course, these are the ones who have become what the
public associates with "transsexual," which they have been led to believe is
synonymous with "transgender."

And, of course, this situation is made even worse when you have those who
are non-op who try to claim that they are truly women. If they are not
willing to give up their penis, they are not not remotely women.

That bit above is actually somewhat insightful.

But then:

Ah, it always comes down to Lardo claiming "alpha tranny status",
though of course he will always deny that when it's pointed out.
But really, could he be any more transparent?
