Hi,
Is there a way of viewing this site and writing messages off line?

Yes, there are several news readers for offline use, at least for windows. I
don't know wich platform you are on, Win95/98 - Unix - Linux - Mac or ....

At home I use the program Agent forte on Windows 95 as my preferred offline
newreader/newswriter.

PS: I saw your posting a couple of days ago where you mentioned dutch and
scandinavian culture. You were absolutely right in what you wrote about guilt,
giving gifts with hidden bills and so on. It is indeed the same here.

Since Arianne is posting from an AOL address, I suspect she's using AOL
software. I'm not familiar with it. Advice from AOL users?

Yes. I am in fact reading the NG right now and responding offline via AOL.

The way to do it is to use Automatic AOL, what used to be called
"Flashsessions". I'll explain it in detail to Vanderven in email, I don't want
to bore all the rest of you with lots of AOLese! >smile<
