Hi there!

I have been away for a bit due to the holidays but wanted to add some
more data to the pile on diet and psoriasis.

About 8 weeks ago i began pagano's diet. it was really hard for me to
stick with because it is pretty strict, therefore i stick with it most
days, but cheat here and there. I am primarily cutting way down on
fats, and only eating the proper meats and no nightshades. Because my
diet was so horrendous before, this is pretty major for me. I feel like
a rabbit! But, believe me, i cheated on thanksgiving, x-mas and a few
other holiday parties.

The results so far?
Well, for one reason or another, My whole upper body (everything but
legs) is almost totally clear. I have been supplementing with dovonex,
psorcon cream, and tazorac in just a few small areas, certainly not
everywhere that is cleared. I have noticed that in spots that used to
not respond to creams, now respond in just a few days and can be
totally cleared. It is winter, it is usually the worst right now. I am
hopeful and have decided to stick with the diet for a lot longer to
keep experimenting.

One theory i have is that the diet is causing the plaques to
be "weaker" and that the creams do the final zapping of it.

I have decided to not go through UVB as i was considering. I would
rather treat it this way. It is important to note that I am not
following all of what pagano says, just about 60%. I would not be sane
if i followed it much more.

Thanks for listening!
Jen

ps. major changes in my diet include:
no soda of any kind
no pizza
no deep fried foods
no mac and cheese!
low fat dairy products mainly
no nightshades
no caffeine
only chicken and fish for meat
more fruits, veggies, and whole grains

Well, that is wonderful news. If it works use it.
Good luck for continued improvement and do keep us posted.

I am wondering if you would share some of this pagaons diet with me. Give
me some ideas. I have been trying to cut out the beef and think this a big
help. I had Prime Rib Christmas eve and turned into a disaster. I think it
could be the red meat. But Christmas is a little stressful so hard to tell
for sure again.
Is the only meat Chicken & Fish? I am a avid meat eater

Thanks Kristie

Dr. Pagano's diet is pretty much as you described. Not too bad when one gets
used to it. Some patients have reported total clearing, while others did not.
Try to get a library copy.

Hi Kristie,

Actually you are also allowed lamb according to the diet. But always
try to cut off excess fat. I dont think cheating a bit is necessarily a
big problem, like maybe having an occasional piece of very lean beef.
Not sure, as i think it differs for everyone.

Let me know what other information you want, i am happy to share. I eat
a lot of vegetarian meats like breakfast sausages, and chicken patties.
You could also try veggie burgers etc...And i know they have turkey
sausage etc...

Good luck!
Jen

ps. i also had prime rib for x-mas eve and it didn't seem to matter,
hence that is why i think it is different for each person. maybe meats
aren't my big problem, maybe it is the deep fried foods and sodas etc...

courage burgers are great as well..Yum.

Congrats Jen it's great to hear you are improving, and won't need the light
treatments. I wish you continued success.

Jen, plus everyone else,
I just read your post. I too started the Pagano
diet after reading his book. It has been 11 days
now. I seem to have the same attitude as u toward
the diet. I cant do it 100 %, but I pretty much
eat the same as you. I gave up Tomatos,
soda, rum : (, meat, fast food, white flour and so
on... I did add 3 x a day Salmon oil, Flaxseed
oil, Primrose Oil, and some Microhydrin that a
pharmacist told me about. I drink the elm tee in
morning and saffron at night.I take baths
everyday in an Aveeno, baking soda, dead sea salt
( or epsom salt), and use Jergens extra dry
healing lotion. I would say I am covered between
maybe 40%-50% of body. Before I started this
plan, I was up nights scratching and
bleeding,obviously couldnt sleep through the
night and couldnt put any thing on skin because
it would burn like hell. Like I said it has been
11 days, now the bright red on my hairline is
faded and hard to notice, genital psoriasis is
gone, no part of my skin is inflamed anymore. The
larger patches which cover my legs seem to be
fading but different then the smaller and medium
patched which are actually showing white skin
dots through the red which seems to be also
turning pink. There are some bright reds dots
though mostly on the outer rim but these r
becoming less.
I know this is a long post and some people will
say it is something else that is curing it like
natural remission or something. I dont care what
it is as long as it is working.
Now of course it is not gone, but it looks to be
getting alot better and today was first day in my
life I can remember myself not itching and
scratching.
I know this isnt for everyone but maybe if some
people try it might work for them G-D willing.
Well love for all with this dreaded condition.
Good luck,
Charles

My nickname is Mikhail Inq, I am russian, I live and work in Moscow.
Almost 40 years I have psoriasis.
I have 30-year's positive experience of a elimination diet and
cleansing methods.
As a consequence, my psoriasis is insignificant.
Now I have one-year positive experience of Pagano regimen
(cleansing,elimination diet, teas etc.).

In Russian Internet there is very few of information devoted to a
psoriasis.
In may 2000 I have based and I support a russian site "Psoriasis as
intestinal disease" - www.psora.df.ru.

On this site I have presented brief translation 5, 6 and 7 chapters,
and also some Appendixs from this book.
In Russia the treatment of a psoriasis of this method only starts.

The information and exchange of experience is extremely necessary (not
only for Russians).

When you decide (may be after 2-3 months) that you have positive (or
negative) experience of application Pagano
regimen, please, fill special form www.psora.df.ru/form_qa_e.html (on
English - of course)

Your answer (on English) will be placed on "Exchange of
Experience" page www.psora.df.ru/eoe.html. Read this page.

The translation (on Russian) - on page www.psora.df.ru/que_ans.html

It will help to other with treatment from a psoriasis.

Best wishes for you.
