I don't think your full of craP!
What works for one may not for others. And for this reason
we invite folks who do their own tests to report the results one
way or the other.
How else will we know what works for you and me?
YMMV means your mileage may vary and is used around here
for good reason. We differ. Some of us are early as opposed to
late onset. We vary in degree and trigger's as well.
So, don't worry, your not full of crap. If you had p and found
a way to deal with it, congratulations.
Now, we need a dozen or more folks to take up your tests.
Can you report on some of your other possible helpers? Like
sunshine, diet, topicals etc?

LOL
Un-friggin-believable.
Try reading the "P Cure investigation" thread and the "Fighting hypoxia"
thread.

Thanks,
I have made the point already that niacin flushing has potential to clear
psoriasis. You have shown confirmation.
If you want to know why, try reading the "P Cure investigation thread",
and the "Fighting Hypoxia" thread.
If you are clear and have been doing this for 6 months, you can stop. You
are cured. You will find that the effects should last at least 8 months. The
effects could last indefinitely if you have a healthy diet and do not have
any
bad habits.
If/when P starts to come back, do it again, until it clears again, and then
continue for a couple weeks and stop. you should be good for another
8 months or more.

Susan,
Did you get the niacin flush consistently whenever you took the niacin?
If you take the same amount every day, you will not get the niacin flush
after the first few days. It will not work, unless you get the niacin flush.
There are there ways that niacin works.
1) It lowers LDL - improves Red Blood Cell oxygen exchange
2) It releases methhemaglobin - so RBCs carry more oxygen
3) The flush improves oxygen supply for the period during the flush.
1 and 2 are of most benefit in the long term, to help remain clear.
3 is what will get you clear over time.

I did a Google search and came across the Mayo clinic guidelines on it.
There has not been enough work done with niacin and children apparently so I
would never use it on children.
The side and other possible effects are enough to put me off - unless I was
in hospital under surveillance.

Thanks for posting your experience with Niacin. You're not full of crap
and it makes sense given Cruiser's research. My question is about your
dose spacing throughout the day. Did you take it all in one hit or
spread it out over the day? Moreover, did you take any other supplements
with it? I am aware that high doses can affect liver function so some
antioxidants or NAC might be helpful.
I have taken a few 100 mg doses already. I am getting the flushing
effect but it is mostly concentrated around my upper chest, neck, and
face. My ears turn bright red but the other affected parts are just a
little pinker. It all starts with a prickly sensation and goes from
there. I'm thinking of upping my dose closer to your starting dose to
300 mg.
One thing I have noticed is that I have to take Niacin on an empty
stomach (ie. between meals) otherwise it has no flushing effect
whatsoever.
I'm also going to give the Hydrogen Peroxide a go when my order arrives
following Cruiser's protocol. Wheatgrass and other greens are supposed
to "oxygenate the blood" also. I have 1 kg of powdered greens sitting
idly in the cupboard and I might add this to the mix. I don't know the
truth of the oxygenation claim, but it can't hurt.

All the best,
Pete

These are definite benefits to taking niacin if you're diabetic, like
me, and it supresses psoriasis to boot! But there can be some side
effects from large doses.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niacin
=========================
Other Uses:
Because niacin promotes metabolism, some believe that taking large
doses will speed up the elimination of THC from the body and produce a
negative result for marijuana on a drug test. There is no evidence that
this is effective, and niacin is toxic to the skin and liver in
overdose, especially as it releases the extra toxins. This is known as
the Michalek effect due to the toxic skin conditions as well as
behavioral changes when Niacin is in one's system. [citation needed]
There is evidence that doses of 500-1000mg can terminate a bad trip on
LSD, a synthetic indole, or enhance the MDMA experience. [citation
needed]
Niacin is also present in Dianazene, a vitamin mixture given to
participants in the Church of Scientology's Purification Rundown and
Narconon programs. The benefits of such high doses are medically
disputed, and most investigations into the common use of Dianazene
highlight the potential for toxicity

By the way I've had PA for more than 25 years I am significantly crippled
with it and take large doses of pain meds in a cp management program. I had
my first identifiable outbreak of skin P at age 47 -- the PA started at 22
but was never correctly diagnosed until the skin flare. Even then the
family practice doc did not know what it was -- it took a Derm to figure it
out and a Rhuemy to get me into pain management.
