Sherry,
I used a Dermablend product on my leg for one summer. I had several spider
veins on the outside of my thigh. It came in a tube and I bought it in Macys.
It was twelve dollars and was an excellent product. The cosmetic rep matched
my skin color beautifully and it did not smear when I perspired or come off
while swimming. I had to use their makeup remover. I don't know if it would
be a good facial makeup. It was rather heavy. I think that they have a
separate line for the face. I have since had minor laser surgery on the veins
with much success. This was before being dx'd with SD so if that is being
considered please consult your doctor. I think that I already had SD but am
not certain. I have so far not developed those unsightly tangelatasia (sp?)
spots but if the facial Dermablend line is as good as their body makeup it is
worth a try and available at JCPenneys and all major Dept.stores. I have gone
back to using water base cover girl foundation with theirpowder and this is
enough for now. The SD has made the pores that were enlarged reduce so my need
for foundation has lessened. Have others had this experience. It sure has
brought down the cost of my make up. I met a patient who had her lips injected
with her own body fat. I knew her before the surgery. She was in her early
thirties and the difference was amazing. The only draw back is that the
plastic surgeon said that her body may reabsorb the fat that was used to
achieve the look she had desired for her lips. The logevity is a maximum of
five years. Well by that time she may be in her forties and not so,vain. It
cost a fortune so I would not recommend it.
