How to Lose Weight on Atypical Antipsychotics

Despite the way it feels, losing weight on antipsychotics isn't a
mysterious process. It's a simple matter of burning more calories than
you get from eating while on antipsychotics.

Calculating Calories while on Olanzapine
----------------------------------------

Food Calories: 2300
Extra Calories due to antipsychotic: 19% (437)
Total Calories per Day: 2737

Calculating Calories while on Risperidone
-----------------------------------------

Food Calories: 2300
Extra Calories due to antipsychotic: 15% (345)
Total Calories per Day: 2645

Calculating Calories while on Quetiapine
----------------------------------------

Food Calories: 2300
Extra Calories due to antipsychotic: 12% (276)
Total Calories per Day: 2576

The best way to lose weight is to increase your physical activity.
But, if it were really that simple, none of us would have a weight

You got an extra problem that other heavy people normally do not have. Being
on anti-psy med makes you weak and drowsy for most and that make physical
activity more troublesome.
