has anyone heard of this procedure called pulmonary
thromboedarterectomy(PTE).I was recently diagnosed with pulmonary
hypertension.the doctor's suspect it was caused by years of an
antibiotic used to treat UTI's.they have taken me off the suspected
medication and placed me on septra.they are currently sending my entire
medical history to the university of san diego medical center for
review.they will determine if i'm a candidate for this procedure.my
understanding is this is the only place in the world where they do this
type of surgery.if successful they will be able to reverse the pulmonary
hypertension completely,thus curing the problem.if anyone has
information on this procedure please let me know.thanks!
