Well I have not been to a dermatologist in about 10 years, I've got
psoriasis about everywhere and finally decided to see one. Well no
sooner did I mention the word enbrel did he write me a prescription and
send me off. No instructions other than If I were not comfortable
giving myself injections stop in and a nurse would do it. Well I
thought it could not be that bad. Although a little nervous I decided
to give it a try. WELL in the mean time waiting for my prescription I
started reading up on Enbrel and it seems 9 out of 10 posts say the
50mg premixed hurts like hell and the needles are dull and make it hard
to penetrate. Not exactly what a needle squeamish person wanted to
hear whether it be truth or not. I have a couple questions.
1. do the 50mg premix really hurt that much more than the 25's???

2. HOW FAR do you have to stick the needle in??? Everything I read
just says stick it in. Do you bury it? halfway in ? just below the
skin?

Thanks, the more posts I read the more scared I'm getting especially
since it sounds like a majority of people seem to agree.

Dave, my dr put me on Humira. Not marketed for psoriasis, but it works
wonders! I got the preloaded pen. It takes all of the guess work out of
how deep, etc. No pain at all for me. It is a bit pricey--around $300 a
month(one injection every two weeks for me). However, the drug company,
Abbott, will give you a six month supply for free. My doctor hooked me up
with the card. Hope this helps
