It probably depends on how the lab measures it--did your dr. not tell what was
the normal range for that lab?

With that said, my doctor in particular uses 10 or more to indicate
insulin resistance. My insulin levels range from 4 to 7, but I am on
Metformin anyway and it has helped regulate my cycles and I now ovulate
on my own.
