Dear all,

does anyone have anything they can tell me about this little
piece of hypersensitivity:

When I bend my head forward in a way which has in the past given
me the L'Hermitte response, I get a burning sensation which is
confined to my right hand side buttock and leg, covering variable
lengths of this area - sometimes only the top of my foot,
sometimes only my thigh, sometimes the full foot to shin to thigh
to buttock, mainly on the top side of the limb (ie the side
facing forward).

At the moment this is all that is happening to remind me of the
MS (apart from the every other day injection business). I have
had L'Hermitte in the past, but that was symmetrical and buzzing,
not just down the right side and burning.

I guess I should be happy it isn't painfull, but can anyone think
what it is or what I can do to alleviate?

Any comments welcome.

isn't ms a joy?! all these things happening to our body's that we can
spend hours entertaining ourselves with..<confused look> Well perhaps
when u feel chilly u will find that entertaining.. My kids are much
amused by my spastic foot that I can seemingly on command (via putting
it into a certain position > send into wild spasms..

These type of things tend to resolve themselves. While there are some who
have had issues like this long term, its not many. I would have a pain when
turning my head to the left. It was like a shooting lightening bolt zapping
through my arm. Indescribably miserable. It drove me nuts. It eventually
left me after about a years time. It royally sucked because it wasnt
constant. It was only every once in a while. So I would get relaxed,
forget about it, turn my head, and WHAM Id be hit with that bolt of
electricity. Drove me nuts. Thank heavens its gone. (knock on wood)

I can create the buzzing and burning sensation down my right leg if I
hold my leg a certain way or press on certain parts of my body.
(Haven't told my husband about that!...that would really freak him
out!) I figured it had something to do with the L'hermitte's thing.
Not currently on anything for it, just trying to avoid it if it gets
bothersome. It happens when I sit down in a chair, which isn't good
for driving or general sitting. I used to think it was a circulation
issue...then came MS. Kelly
