I think I will just clock in each time I check this NG. At least there
will be something to let us know it still works!

I'm still here, too. I guess everyone's had nothing to
say, and they decided to prove it by not saying anything.

We're still lurking about. Marie still aches. I hope her symptoms aren't
getting worse.

Her problem is that getting timely appointments has been a bit
problematic, as well as finding a decent rheumatologist on a bus route
taking new patients. She may have to switch again.

It's 4:25 10/08/09

Well, we need something to talk about. Hey, I think Bonnie Raite sang
that song.

Shelagh, do you have winter yet. I know you are over there in that
banana belt. 8>)

Curtis, may I ask where you live?

Happy Sunday,

It is a happy Sunday actually... no, no winter here yet; nice and mild fall
weather, the kind that gives memories of years gone by, the fall leaves
burning and all... love it!
Things are as well as they can be with my BH going through radiotherapy
ATPIT.... almost 1/2 way now... one more week and we'll be at that mark...
then another 4 weeks to go <sigh>.... if only we were further along.... but,
we should be good for a normal Christmas at any rate; and my son is coming
for Halloween weekend; my daughter and SIL are planning 'our' second
grandchild <YES!!>
so we'll see how that goes come January when they have the 'implantation'
done again.... first time was great and no issues; prayers requested for
this upcoming 2nd one .... all and any would be great!

We so need to have this to look to for next year, and if it all goes 'well'
and happens as it should, God willing, we'll have another grandchild in
September /10.... OMG I hope!!

That thought alone is enough to keep us both, MOTH and myself on our toes
and get us to the end of this RT and terrible journey we find ourselves
taking... unwillingly!!
I also request all and any prayers for his cure/remission/life without
cancer ..... after it is done!! We have good doctors and he gets door to
door rides to his treatments over 2 hours away in 'the big city'.... down
island; can't ask for more than that.... he is home at least half of every
week day and every week end.... minus the side effects it is not too bad..
yet.... praying that it stays on an even keel and he gets through it with
minimal 'damage' from the RT...... he is a trooper and is continuing with
gardening and all the rest of his chores.... props to him from me !!!

Enjoy your fall weather where ever you may be.... we've had our Thanksgiving
here in Canada and our 37th wedding anniversary and my 57th birthday is this
week.... a lot in the last 10 days has gone down LOL!!
Life is still good.... though I enjoyed it more when MOTH was well,
obviously; as did he...... but we are looking at the 'glass half full' and
doing our best to get through this...
naught else to do but that!
Take care and stay well.... the flue bug this year is harsh, we've both had
that too the past 2 weeks.... as I said a lot has gone on the past while
LOL... can't say 'boring' anyhow!!

Hugs to you all....
~Shelagh

I am around too, read daily what there is to read :( and then off. I think
old Iron man messed with us too darn much.

I am doing ok, but bruising a lot on arms and legs. They still say it is
the medrol, plavix and aspirin baby one. BUT I can't be off any of them. I
am down to the low dose of medrol ever, so I guess I cover my arms for
awhile, legs usually are Gee I look like I got beat by a boxer haha. Oh
well.
Foot in still in brace at all times but my swimming exercises help that a
lot. You should hear the people say what happened to you and the bruises.
I feel so badly but have to explain to everyone. They make you very self
conscious and I hate that. Remember how we always say WE don't look sick,
well this is one of them things too
It is fall now so of course more joint pain in the feet mostly and hands.

Family crisis and son divorcing. Need prayer for him on this one..

Hope to head south again but I will check back. Heard from ruthie and she
is such a wonderful person.

Hugs to all
janers

I remember that smell. Close or far you couldn't mistake it. As kids we
ran trough the smoke until our cloths smelled smoky! We have a couple
trees that lose their leaves but only for a couple weeks.

He must be tough to withstand all of that. When will you get some results?

Hi Janers,

I too enjoy the big purple splotches. My Rheumy says it is vasculitis
and the treatment for that is the same as lupus!

However, I just tell folks that my wife is responsible and that I am on
my way to an "Elder abuse" meeting. 8>)

It is good to hear from you. Please tell Ruth we miss her.

Thanks George, and we get results with scans etc. at the end....
his PSA is unreliable which is how he got into this mess....
we are definitely looking ahead to 'good times' hopefully Christmas
time or there abouts; the side effects should be over... we hope!
hugs, Shelagh

No, problem might be that you are looking in the wrong directions.
Need a project? Tell this California doctor how wrong he is, or
perhaps consider how he could be right.

Or you could complain about me intruding into your newsgroup,
with me not having Lupus. That is always assured of bringing out
the drumbeaters.
