Need Help Tutoring Dyslexic 12yr Old

Right now I am trying to help my girlfiend's 12 year old son to read.
He is dyslexic, and has only the reading ability of someone in the second
grade, if that. I have tried to find methods which may help him, but my
trips to libraries and bookstores have not been very successful in turning
up any material of much value. If anyone has ANY tips, methods, suggested
books or journals, addresses or phone #s of organizations that may be able

Read books by Sally Smith of the Lab school of Washington, DC. IN fact
you might even contact them. They can be of immense help. My son is
dysgraphic and they helped a lot with resources aobut colleges and such.
They wor with people preschool to adulthood. Don't have the number, 202
