Water Polo Players

Dudes,

I've heard that water polo players grab and kick each other in the balls
alot under the water. Any of you know if this is true? If so, do they
wear cups under their speedos? If they don't, how do you suppose they
take the abuse?

Oh YEAH! They most *certainly do*! One of the guys (High School) tried
wearing a cup in his speedos but it did MORE damage than without one, and
that was only with team practice! That is why WaterPolo (H2O Polo) is the
roughest sport, you have to keep your head above water to breathe and some
guy is bashing your balls with his foot (toes or heel) or grabbing and
squeezing them, or giving you an elbow in the throat or jaw.
Remember Terry Schroeder's comment after the one match during the 1984 Olympics?
He was the Captain of the 84 Olympic team and the 2 meter (hole) man, and
was the model (FULL nude! and HUNG !) for the Bronze male statue at the LA
Colseum (it's still! there!). "Well I'm glad that match is over, and that I
don't want to father any children!"
Tough Nuts are the trade mark of a Water Polo player.

Water Polo players don't wear anything under their Speedos and how they
deal with it is beyond me. I had a friend in high school tell me about
his first practice: He got hit in the nuts and started to get out of the
pool. His coach asked him why he wanted out, and when he heard the
reason, just told my friend to get back in and get used to it.

Yeah polo players do work each others nuts. The swim team at my school
challenged the football team(my sport) to a water polo match. At first it
was pretty even. Then they started beating us on points. As we got more
frustrated and started playing tougher they started aniling our nuts. We
paid man. We had a football game 3 days later and were still sore.

They'd knee us, kick us. One guy grabbed my buddies balls when he hit the
guy in the head with an elbow and he wouldn't let go. Pissed me off. My
buddy was great looking and was getting his balls tormented by this wus
swimmer.

Your buddy should have pissed the other guy off, literally. I'll bet
he'd have let go if your buddy started warming his hand up.

No cups. But I do have a water polo suit that a Japanese company Nikko?
tried to market ten years ago. It's heavy weight elastic with a slick
rubber/vinyl coated surface, fits extra tight. Don't know why it didn't
catch on. Didn't offer any more protection against a punch or kick, of
course, but made it impossible to get a grip on the nuts of the man, they
were just too tightly packed and the covered by this thick, taut, slick
surface.

when i played we just wore the same speedos as on the swim team.
tight enough to keep things out of the way. got kicked in the balls a
lot and yes you do have to get used to it.

have heard the U of Mich team works out nude sometimes. so they can't
grab hold of your suit, which was a much bigger problem. never had
any opponent grab my balls

We just wore extra suits - same suits as for swimming - just two - every
once in a while three. The reason had nothing to do with being kicked in
the balls. It was so they couldn't take your suit off and slow you down
that way.
