Enjoyed the narrative. Not too long at all.

I remember in college there was one guy just a couple of years older than
the rest of us,
very hairy. When he went to the shower he would ALWAYS get a hardon and no
one ever snickered or gave him a bad time. I think everyone was just
fascinated and
probably jealous as hell. It seemed that he spent longer in the shower than
was absolutely necessary. Probably enjoyed the glances (hell, the stares).
I don't think he
was gay - he had a steady girl friend. Who knows. We enjoyed the view.

I worked at the college during summer and every year, when school just let
out I usually cleaned out the locker room and I always came home with 10-12
jocks. Never knew whose they had been, but I had
a lot of fantasies!

Thanks, SportzGuy, for bringing back some wonderful and vivid memories!

Well, SportzGuy, you are correct - one seldom sees a jockstrap in a thrift
store. I think we just hang on to them as long as possible. Too many happy
memories, I think. There can't be any policies prohibiting the sale of
jocks. As you point out, they sell plenty of tighty whities and boxers.

Speaking of underwear. I don't like tighty whities any more but I buy
plenty of boxers at the thrift stores. In the first place, who wants to pay
$15 for a new pair when you can get a perfectly good pair for as low as
$1.99? Plus you buy a lot of fantasy for that $1.99 set.

If you read this group very much, many guys report some emarrasment about
jocks. That may be why you don't see them in the thrifts. Who is going to
go thru the checkout with a used jock. I say GET OVER IT. Be proud. Pay
for it, put it in your pocket and let a strap hang out of your pocket!

Most of my collection got away from me some time ago but I still have three
and I really feel good wearing them. I had kind of gotten out of the habit
of wearing them until about a year ago I had a hernia operation and I put on
the jock for some support and it felt REALLY good, so I've kept it up.

Cheers!

A few years ago, I was making a road trip to Montreal. I stopped at
Albany NY to get gas and there was a strip mall near the station. So,
deciding to walk a little bit before getting back in the car I strolled
over and checked out the stores. There was a Champion outlet store and
when I went in, I discovered a large cardboard box on a shelf in the
back row filled with old style champion jocks. The kind made of cotten
and rubber I believe...very soft and well made. These were just
jumbled in the box with no stickers, packaging, or price tags. I
looked and I looked but could not find one in my size. They were
selling them for just a few bucks each according to the outside of the
box.

Sadly, this past labor day weekend, I was driving to Vermont and
stopped in Albany again, but that Champion outlet store was gone.

There used to be an outlet store near Rochester NY too but I haven't
been up that way for a while to see if is still there.

Even today, I find Champion jocks to be very comfortable. The
waistbands have that soft stuff next to the skin that doesn't cut like
some other brands. And it has a very traditional look and feel.

It's funny, I was just in a Savers in Tucson, AZ and ran into 4 jocks. Bauer and Black, which I am now leaking in, and three adult small, Bike swimmer and 2 defenders. Gave those to my son. This is the first time in 6 years that I have seen a strap for sale in a store like this.
