Help please. I'm sure there are many out there like me. I've been infected
for about 13years. I initially had frequent outbreaks, but now I haven't
had a clinically recognized lesion in over 11/2 years. I have transmitted
the infection twice when I was younger to two women who told me they were
already infected so we weren't careful. But I've never known to transfer
the disease by avoiding sex or using a condom when I had symptoms. I have
rarely had brief sexual encounters in my life and I have always informed
my partners first so I would know if one of my partners contracted the
disease clinically. My dilemna is what can I honestly tell a woman what
her risk of contracting the virus by a having careful & monogamous sexlife
with me. I contracted the virus by sex with a long time lover who never
was up front with me about her infection so I'm sensitive about this
subject.
