I don't get any of this junk with the Newsguy service I subscribe to.
They filter it all out before it gets anywhere near my computer. In
order to kick me into antispam mode on things like this I've got to
have more complete headers.

There are various tactics. One can go to the hotmail home page and
try to find their terms of service and see if perhaps the person above
has violated those terms. In this case not likely unless they've
posted the same to a large number of groups. They'll give an address
to write to, usually abuse@ and then the domain name. You MUST
include ALL the headers when emailing the abuse people or they can't
even look at it. Or one can find and download one of the many
antispam programs (SpamHater and SpammerSlammer are a couple I used to
use back in the mid to late nineties) that will snerf out the spammer
addresses from offending emails or posts and formulate a standard
reply, dressed up in legaleze if you like, all at the touch of a
button. Thirdly, sometimes polite requests to cease the activity are
met with "oh, I'm sorry, didn't know any better." Or you can just
ignore and they usually go away. Or, you can subscribe to a service
like Newsguy and begin to think that Spam is a thing of the past until
someone REPOSTS the thing and reminds you. LOL.

Take care,

Mike
