So I got scrip for Harvoni Jan 2015, Blue Shield turned it down, and then turned down the appeal. They said I wasn't the minimum stage 3, although every doctor but their's said I was. Then I appealed to the California
State Board of Medical Insurance and they overturned the denial and I got my Harvoni June of 2015.

I completed in September of 2015. My RNA test showed undetectable.

In December of 2015, I had my 3-month test and I was undetectable. FYI, what I've read online is that with Harvoni, if you're clear after 3 you're clear. But the "official" definition of "cured" is the 6-month SVR.

In late March of 2016, I had my 6-month test and I am undetectable. So there you have it.

In June, I am getting a new ultrasound to see if my liver is repairing itself.

I raise a glass of Martinelli's or Becks NA to all those alive or gone that contributed to this forum during the dark days of no treatments, bad treatments, and worse treatments.

Way to go! I had my 6-month in April and I'm clear too. Then my gastro
pee'd right in my Cheerios and ordered an MRI the next day. It showed I
have cirrhosis--gee, ya think? I'm going to see him Tuesday. But isn't it
a GREAT feeling to know that dragon is finally, really dead?

Congrats to both of your for beating the beast. Fantastic news!
Livers will get better - my bcls says the yearly ultrasounds show I've gone
from a 3 to nearly a 1since my dragon expired 12 years ago.
In this case Time really can heal old wounds.

Cheers!

Twelve years, grey? Wow! It just doesn't seem that long ago. Cody cleared
not long ago. He seems to be doing well.

hi Russian! sooo glad to hear it! I am rising a glass of any
alcohol-free (i'm 25 yrs clean) beverage with you! I tested negative
(and still am at last test a month ago) since beginning of my 1 year
long second attempt in 2011 (riba+peg) , well before new treatment came
available

Yes, it really has been that long. Scary how fast time can fly!
Happy to hear about Cody - iirc, he hadn't been infected for long, which
usually means better odds.

And I love seeing folks having success with the new therapies!
It does mean my rather extensive knowledge of how to manage the old-school
triple-drug regimen is no longer useful - but I'm totally good with that ;)

Cheers!
