Ya I'm battling depression, have been for the last two years and have
been somewhat steady on the same meds, but this was really differant
than what I normally go through.
Oh ! maybe it's just all in my head.
I had pains for weeks, mostly where the poke was but also in other
places on my liver. It was worse when I breathed hard too. Welcome to
the club!

Dealing with a serious disease like hepC tends to be somewhat
depressing. Plus anxiety and fear over possible results. I say
congratulations on getting going on dealing with this. A little pain
after a biopsy is normal. Anxiety also. Good luck with the results.
If you have problems now with remembering an appointment that is a
weekly affair for you, you had best get organized prior to starting
treatment. I couldn't remember my pin number for my bank card, my pin
number for my phone messages etc, to say nothing of why I had gone
from one room to another after a certain point in Treatment.
Do you have a support system in place? Others who are there around you
on a daily basis? Makes a big difference!
Sending positive thoughts towards Dec 24.....
I've heard sometimes people get some pain afterwards. Mine was
slightly tender for a couple of days but no issue really. I took a
couple of days off work because I'm a manual worker but that was more
as a "just in case" measure because of the slight risk of bleeding
starting inside.
The biggest problem I had after the biopsy was just as i left the
hospital premises. I was walking to my friend's house because they
wanted me with someone for a few hours afterwards. Some kid was
riding his bicycle along the footpath - straight at my right hand
side. Of course the instant reflex kicked in as I protected myself
and the poor lad went flying. Thankfully we were both OK. I did tell
him that I had just had some minor surgery in the hospital and was
just protecting it - in case he thought I was a total arsehole.
Typical isn't it? The only time in my life that I was hit by a
bicycle and it was a few hours after a biopsy :-) . I took the
impact on my arms though as I saw it coming.
