KROWN POCKETCOMM TTY/VCO (Patent Pending)

lightest-weight TTY. Made with a built-in VCO, the PocketComm is two
different products in one unit. It is designed to work with your
home/office cordless phone and TTY-compatible cellular/mobile phone. It
also works with payphones and emergency call boxes for urgent or emergency
use.

A FEW REASONS WHY YOU NEED POCKETCOMM:
The PocketComm is the perfect companion for cell phones such as T-Mobile
Sidekick, BlackBerry, or any Handheld/PDA with built-in cell phone service.
The PocketComm is not the same as a Handheld, PDA, or 2-way pager. It is
entirely different. When you use PocketComm with your cellular service,
it's like having the two best means of communication in one package.
You can make a quick call through the relay service (full TTY or VCO) or
directly to another TTY user. Also, regular two-way pagers don't have as
reliable coverage as cell phones. It is not unusual for wireless email or
instant messenger services to be down due to technical difficulties. When
that happens, you will have another means of communication by using the
PocketComm with cellular service.
You will be able to call 911 or AAA directly via PocketComm if you have an
emergency. In very near future, the 911 call center will have the ability to
pin-point where you are either with or without a built-in global positioning
system (GPS).
Email & instant messenger is a "store & forward" technology. That means if
one server is down or extremely busy or if the signal is lost, the message
will be stored until that server or signal is available again. With
PocketComm, it is not "store & forward" -- it is REAL TIME conversation.
PocketComm comes in handy for family members who are hearing and deaf. The
entire family can use the cellular service. No longer are cell phones just
for hearing people!!
With a regular TTY, you are restricted to the desk where your TTY is
connected to a phone line. PocketComm allows you to roam freely in the
house with a cordless phone.
