At least in my part of the world, Cochlea are way out in front of
other hearing aid manufacturers for support. The local clinic has
processors which can be borrowed (with your settiings inserted) while
yours is sent off for repair. In about ten years I have never had a
problem but it is good to know that the support is there if I need it.
Check with your clinic - they may have a similar arrangement.
Failure of the implant itself is very rare.
