All this conflict (to which, admittedly, I've contributed) is stifling
productive dialog here and reducing the value of information exchange for
which this group was established.

Therefore, the next time Ridenhour makes an obnoxious fool of himself, the
self-appointed sheriffs should toss a cybercoin to determine who does what -
and then the exchange should be via email.

I have hearing loss of both ears..... and I'm 49 years old... considering
hearing aids and have been cleared by ENT... however they are very expensive
2000.00 per ear in our area.
Am considering something that is $299.00 per ear, only it is a ear
amplifier. What does anyone thing about this... can it harm the ears or
help..???

Visit an audiologist and try a good pair of digital aids. Compare with the
$300 product (that legally can't be called "hearing aid").

Don't go the "inexpensive" route on something as important as your hearing.
It need the best hearing you can get...remember, you use it everyday!
