I'm going through the somewhat tortuous process of setting up my
wife's new Oticon aids with Blu-tooth, to connect to the various
accessories that we bought with it to enable her to hear, with both
ears, an external mike for me or others to wear, the TV, which is now
connected via Oticon's Connect line TV adapter, and a Blu-tooth enabled
cell phone. So far, all's well with the Blu-tooth equipped cell phone,
but no luck with the TV, just a loud hum (Too close to a speaker?),
and/or lots of beeping not mentioned in the voluminous literature that
came with the aid. Will continue to scan for information whatever I can
online, but wonder whether anyone has a similar Oticon setup and any
insight to what the TV problem may be. I will move the TV adapter away
from the external Sony speaker to see whether that may have a positive
effect.

Additionally, is/are there other groups I might monitor, as this one
seems to be quite inactive?

I guess the title should have been "Problem with Oticon Blu-tooth
enabled Hearing Aid"!

A number of HA providers are there to help with problems.
The forums here don't get much action. There is significant activity
at the website above.

Two weeks ago the VA gave me a pair of Phonak Ambras with blue tooth.
I have it working fine with bluetooth cell phones and landline phones.
The bluetooth dongle has a 3.5 mm jack which works well with my MP3
players and any other audio source with a 3.5 mm jack. I have on
order a device with a 3.5 mm jack that will stream audio in to
bluetooth. That should work with your TV. I bought a USB bluetooth
computer interface for $.10 with free shipping from China. While it
works some sometimes it has a couple seconds delay. I think the
problem lies in windows. They loose money on every sale but make up
for it in volume. Audio streamed directly to the bluetooth is much
better than audio that comes through a speaker and picked up by the
hearing aid microphones.
