Alcoholics Anonymous has a reputation of being a place for alcoholics to
get help, and is widely accepted by most people. The truth is, AA is a
CULT, based on religion. It does more harm than help for someone with a
drinking problem. While people with alcohol problems should get some
form of help and support, AA is *NOT* the place to get it. AA will not
help with the alcohol problem, but will demean a person to sucker the
person into their religion. AA was founded as a branch of a well known
cult in the 1930's known as "The Oxford Group". AA is a cult. Avoid AA
at all costs. There are other programs and methods to assist with
alcoholism. Therapy, counseling, support groups, and other programs are
listed on the web. DO get help if you have alcohol problems, but DO NOT
go to AA.
I had to find out the hard way, but I left before AA completely ruined
my life. Don't let this happen to you!
