In 1970, I was involved in a cult in Grand Rapids, MI. The leader, Don de
Graaf was a priest in The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints until he was excommunicated when the church elders found out what
he was up to. The cult was called the God Squad and recruited a lot of
young people from all over the city, especially in East Grand Rapids.
These were a few suicides and a lot of people were emotionally damaged by
this man, Don de Graaf. For years, after I left I heard stories of hit
squads from this cult and death threats. I don't know how true that is.
Basically, this man recruited young women to have sex with, making them
believe it was God's plan. Please, if anyone has any info on this cult,
post it. Maybe it will save some people. I have heard that the cult is
still going strong in Boulder, CO.

Just found this post. Don Degraaf had a group in Boulder? I was in the group in Denver until is shut down and another former member Chuck Shenefield helped start the Denver group. The two of us have started a website to try and connect with some of the really good people we both knew in the Toledo and Denver. You can find the website at: http://thegroup7.wordpress.com/

I too was in this group. There were many rumours that I later learned were true; I left on my own--actually with a fellow member who was also scared by what we were learning--in 1972, and there were many efforts made to keep us ensnared. For weeks we were followed, hounded, and told that leaving was "disloyal and dangerous;" in the years that followed, I made contact with others who had left, and the picture that emerged was simply appalling. I hadn't heard it was in Boulder (I lived in Ft. Collins for many years), but if it is, I'll say leave now, before you lose everything you value.

As far as I know, the group was dissolved mostly when Sir passed in 1992. If anyone has any more information I would be very interested to hear it.
