To kick off the week of Gurumayi's birthday, the ashram put on four
evenings celebrating and honoring the lives of India's women saints. Each
program was beautifully constructed to not only tell the life story of the
saint
but to also offer a deep and sweet experience of the saint through the use
of storytellers and instrumental music. Over four nights we heard the life
story of four different female saints: Akkhamadevi, Lalleshwari, Mirabai,
and finally Anandamayi Ma.
Each evening would begin with the lights dim in Guru Chowk as the
monsoon rains fell out in the courtyard. It felt like a family all gathered
together
to hear a sumptuous story surrounded by the blanket of a thick night. The
MC would announce the saint for the evening and then the magic began.
The music department had put together a beautiful instrumental interlude to
introduce each story. The interlude each night was based on a chant, and
this chant was linked to the saint's life in some way. For example, on the
night
of Mirabai's life story, we heard a moving and angelic choral arrangement of
Sri Krishna Govinda in honor of her love for Krishna.
Then the storyteller would begin. As a special addition, interwoven
throughout
the story, would be excerpts of the saint's poetry read by a female voice with
musical accompaniment underneath. Then, right after the story was finished,
we were gently led into the full chant. To sit and to become so deeply
steeped
in the amazing stories of these saints and to hear their words in such a
beautiful
way truly gave rise to a deeper understanding of their attainment. Many
commented throughout the four days that these programs were not 'programs'
but rather "experiences." Their hearts were so moved by the saints' sadhana
that they felt Gurumayi, her devotion and her love for God, resembled in each
story. Indeed, it was a celebration of our own living saint as well!
Then we had a three day saptah of Om Namah Shivaya. So beautiful to have
it chanted all the time with the rain and then Gurumayi formally announced
that
there would be only silent darshan from now on. But darshan became so
still, deep and just incredible. Being with her only, no other competing
conversations, just you and her. I felt as though the air was so thick and
charged with shakti, she seemed translucent, other worldly - very still.
Then in the morning of her birthday we had a simple program with the
visiting brahmin boys and a bhajan from the Indian teens and then she spoke.
It was a maha talk. She hadn't spoken since Baba's birthday and that talk
was mainly thanks and about the importance of understanding bhav. But this
talk was very different.

She started right away by talking about darshan, how people just don't get
it basically. That GSP had become a tourist spot full of noise and people
were coming up in darshan just talking about their family problems, that
people simply didn't get what she was about and what darshan was. And that
is why it is now silent darshan. She said, "Why should I touch your head,
it is full of lice! Why do you want to touch my feet, it is rainy season,
you do not know where they have been." It was so direct and powerful. She
said this kind of darshan is a tradition but what is the point of it when we
don't contemplate what it is. She said why should she give darshan when
people aren't even listening to her? She talked about children and parents
and how parent should never hit children or speak badly of them, that you
must teach with love and gentleness. She said some people might be upset
that she hasn't been here for 5 years and now she is in silence but she said
nothing will change the sadhana of this ashram, you can say what you want,
you can think what you want but this is my sadhana. It was a very direct,
frank and "no bull" type of talk.

That night felt totally different. There was a chant in Guru Chowk that
basically only the gurukula students came to. It was so sweet. We chanted
ONB and she began by taking the mike without any accompaniment and singing
it by herself in these long long drawn out phrases full of so much longing
and yearning. I had never ever seen her this way, singing a chant all by
herself totally immersed in the words, croning to Baba. She sang Ommmm,
OOmmmm, OOOOOmmmmmmm in all these different pitches and ways and
then moved onto Namo and did the same etc. Her love heart song lasted over
5 minutes. All of us were just stunned and enraptured by her love and longing
.
Then we chanted and she was so ecstatic, very very happy, it was the
happiest that any of us had seen her here to date. She was jumping in her
seat and clapping and just so joyful. It was raining and it just felt so
much like a family, a community, like her dear children all gathered around
her after the adults had gone away and we just played together. We all were
transported by that chant with her.

She has continued to give darshan silently and just yesterday it was announced
that it will no longer be every day but only on Thurs, Sat and Sun. I was so
sad.
My darshan experiences have been subtle but so important to me. I recently
took the Pratyabjniahrdyam course and each day as I would leave and go for
darshan my heart and soul were swimming in the large ocean of the Absolute,
so my darshans were really sweet, she would seem to smile and to nod.

She has been walking around a bit too. Just a few days ago she was walking
alone past Siddheshwar (building) and saw a friend of mine on the porch and
said
to him, "What's up?" as she walked past. She is so cool. Last night I walked
past
her on the path and she was talking to two swamis and she had her glasses on
and a cool big purple raincoat -- she looked radiant in the rain, so intensely
beautiful. Ahhh. It is so easy here to take it for granted, but I pray not
to.

So...life here is sublime. I am very happy. I give this whole ashram and
all of its blessings to you.... the dark beauty of monsoon and its silence.
Many many wishes from GSP to you!

Really, "many commented?"
How convenient! How wonderful! What a coincidence! How auspicious!
"Many commented." To whom? When? Who?

"Indeed," my ass! That was the point, Bamboozle! Holiness by

Dear S235one08,

It is ironic that your signature contains the statement: "When dealing with
others who are less certain, simply having certainty gives dominance." You
definitely displayed a lot of certainty, I'll give you that. I pray that some
day you will get over the extreme anger that you also spewed out towards me, a
stranger, and come to a place of peace within your apparently troubled life.

You can call me all the names you want, the worse the better, it might cleanse
you of your anger; but it only shows your own nature. What have I done to
disturb you? If you don't like what I write, leave it alone instead of getting
an ulcer.

Do you have a family? If so, please don't treat them the way you treated me.

Thanks for sharing, I've visited the ashram in South Fallsburg in '93 and
drove to the retreat in Palm Springs but I haven't been able to be around
Gurumayi and it is nice to hear of your experience.

Dear Bongozulu;

Thank you for your concern but because I express myself I lessen the liklihood
that I will get "an ulcer." Ulcers are often caused by certain bacteria as
well. Please be careful what you eat there in Maharashtra.
I can ask you the same question, can't I? "What have I done to disturb you? If

you don't like what I write, leave it alone instead of getting an ulcer."

Your post is to me like a sugar-coated addictive drug. I am not eating it and I
want to warn others not to eat it either. It reminds me of years of DARSHAN
magazine 'tour supplements,' in which nothing but sweet words were written
while at the same time devious and underhanded deeds were done at the direction
of and in the interests of Gurumayi. (Ask her about her
"troubled life" and her relationship with HER family.)

How I choose to live my "apparently troubled life" is my business, isn't it?
Your apparently untroubled life is due for some serious questions on your part
in relation to posting your propaganda here. Are you looking for trouble? Do
you know in whose company you are having satsang? Since you chose this venue, a
newsgroup entitled, "alt.support.ex-cult.siddha-yoga" to spew your pro-siddha
yoga baby-talk, you shouldn't be surprised if you get burned
by words which reflect others' uncensored real thoughts and feelings.

>Do you have a family? If so, please don't treat them the way you treated
>me.

You (to me) very clearly wrote that you want to be treated like a child with
Gurumayi as your parent. Perhaps if you were part of my family I would try to
find a way to explain my thoughts and feelings (and my personal experiences) to
you without hurting your feelings. Since you chose to affront me with your
'news bulletin' from the scene of the crime, as it were - I felt quite free to
say what I felt, since I have left Siddha Yoga
and its censorious ways. (Yes, I dare to express my "negativities.") Are you
one of my family? Do you want to be treated like one of my family? You could be
and you are welcome to be but you must show some respect for my Siddha Yoga
experience first.

Thank you for your respect.
Sincerely,
S

Dear Philippe,

You can access Siddha Yoga sites at:
http://www.onelist.com/

and go to either "sgmkj" or "Blupearl" in order to have venom-free discussions.

If you have difficulty, send me an email.

I assume you are familiar with http://www.syda.org/ where they now respond to
questions from all over the world.

Dear bongozulu,

Please don't take this character called S serious. This is the way he treats
everyone. When I first came on here he treated me this way too. After a long
rant he finally said, "Now I feel better." And I responded by saying how much
better is the feeling of love then hate. And how each path has it's own karmic
reward. It seems to me only a sadist would feel good about hurting others. If
S wants to be a sadist, that is his choice. If that is what he needs to feel
good, I can't help but feel sorry for him. It is difficult to see God in such
people but to try is a spiritual exercise in itself. I can only pray that one
day he to will experience the love of God for himself and for others. In the
meantime I understand he is still deluded and not in his right senses so I
never take anything he says personal.

With Endless Love and Joy,

This place is beyond all your simplistic imaginings....all around you are
hundreds and thousands of people who have been ripped off by that
SCAM-ARTIST who calls herself a 'Guru' - even (and i choke saying this) A

YOU - not S235(1) - who happens to be a very fine REAL person, who is trying

We here at the alt.support.EX-CULT-SIDDHA-YOGA have come together to release

I like that..celebrating the lives of saints...nothing wrong with that.

> Indeed, it was a celebration of our own living saint as well!

Aha! Here's the switch! All of a sudden
Gurumayi is a saint too..on a par, I presume with the first four. This seems
like a 'bait and switch' ploy. You came for the Indian saints and all of a
sudden they're calling Gurumayi one too. Perhaps someone can explain where the
"hard facts" come into play here? When did Gurumayi become a "saint?" O.K.,
Just show me some "hard facts" here, that's all.

> It was raining and it just felt so
> much like a family, a community, like her dear children all gathered around
> her after the adults had gone away and we just played together.

Good! This is an honest admission of where this person is at. It's a sweet
thought.
And, again...the adults HAVE gone away. The adults are leaving this cozy
personality cult.
This is not a "sadistic" thing to say. The writer is telling her truth and I am
telling mine. This is how it is; it's not to be judged
as good or bad...it's not bad to be a child or to be child-like. It's just that
sometimes, some people (as they become middle-aged?)
realize that they've been playing Peter Pan's lost children for too long.
They've refused to grow up; they've denied their emotions and their feelings;
they've been trying to squash their common sense, their instincts, their
rational minds....(their sexuality?); they've refused to take responsibility
for their own lives; and for what? For "bliss?"

Ah, yes! Bliss! Love! Unbounded love! It IS possible! I feel it, (sometimes.)
Imagine how much more satisfying to not have to give credit to someone like
Gurumayi for experiencing one's God-given, human right.
Imagine how empowering that must be, to be connected to God without some
authority figure (all dolled-up in fine silks and cosmetic surgery ) standing
in front of you, (telling you that you have head lice) encouraging you to
support her with dakshina, asking you to help her do "her work," (as if there
were something wrong with YOUR work) telling you why she can only let you have
a little of what you want...what the whole shebang has been teasing you
with....more darshan!

Siddha Yoga is like an addiction to me. I am here to report that it can be
overcome. I am here to tell you that your life will not necessarily fall apart
if you leave Siddha Yoga. If you study the teachings of Siddha Yoga and Swami
Muktananda you will see that you don't need Siddha Yoga. It is ironic that they
won't let you go, they want to milk you for more and more, yet their teaching
is that "God dwells within you as you."
You have to leave Siddha Yoga to find out that it's true. You have to leave
Siddha Yoga!

Look closely. Is what I have said really full of "venom?" Strong emotion maybe
but "venom?" I don't think so.

Besides my nasty gram to xs10sual about giving me attitude up front, I'll
make my self clear on where I stand. I'm not a devout Siddha in that I
wasn't around in the "Muktananda days" and that I haven't been close enough
to get to know anything about the organization itself. I just learned about
the philosophy of spiritual awakening in '93 which is what I was drawn to.
And, I was not aware of any of the secrets or going ons that I've been
reading about. I appreciate S235one08's direction and I did read the
cyberpath.net/truth page as I've now read about the alleged extra curricular
activities. Mind you, I say alleged because I don't know the stories nor
have I met anyone in the organization that has mentioned this from direct
experience etc. And, xs and anyone else who wonders, I do know what
"ex-cult" means. Try not to bludgeon anyone up front, they may not be
wholly knowing about SYDA (the foundation) either. And, anyone that does
seek to know the truth about it; I would think, would checkout what others
think about it. In short I haven't been brainwashed yet (I believe would be
your vernacular) but your attack seems to be good enough for me to say that
you can't present a reasonable argument for your position not to mention
aggression. Since I haven't been "in the organization" I do entertain
reasonable discussions/arguments on the cons of this organization. So that
you understand where I come from religiously, I have pictures of; Christ,
(1961) Nityananda, Sai Baba, Saitha Sai Baba, Yogananda, (most died before I
was born) I have studied the Dhamapada, KJV, Torah and the Qabalah. You
might say I seek (not fanatically) but I am not attached to any organization
either. I don't like to be restricted to a set way of thinking. Hopefully,
I've not brusied too many people here as I will be sticking around to find
out more about the "foundation" before I get involved or if I get involved.

XS,
Interesting post in light of your comments to me on 6/11/99 on this ng. You
might be kicking someone's crutches out from under them! I sure learned my
lesson, felt bad for days after! I did take heart when Mr. Burton recovered his
ability to write a sentence of over 4 words once he posted to the SY (tm) site,
so any damage he incurred at my hands was quickly cured by the guru!

Phil,
You'll find that i am one of the only ones around here (on the NG) [except
for perhaps a few of the PRO Sy-ers], that happens to remember Muktananda
with somewhat mixed, but mostly POSITIVE, emotions. I immensely enjoyed
being around Muktananda. And most of my contacts with him were good ones.
I do feel a bit sorry for those people currently in SY who didn't have a
chance to meet him (before he went off the deep end). He was a King
(definetly not the 'Saint' everyone set him up to be - but a good King). It
was an experience that changed my life - for the better.
The current gooroo (malti shetty or goo-roo-my-E) is anything BUT that.
She's just a puppet of the SYDA organization, and not even a good puppet at
that. I'd say NOT knowing Muktananda is a plus (now) because then there's
nothing to hang around Siddha Yoga ashrams for anymore. Nothin' to BITE (as
you said). Siddha Yoga just SUCKS now....and in a big way - so it's better
to have not known Muktananda so that you can just go on your way....and
leave Ms.Shetty's excuse for dharma FAR behind.

I sincerely wish you luck...seeking is not an easy job. You say you are
familiar with Yogananda. Then you will recall what he said about *seekers*:

"He's the cleverest!...who finds God. He's the cleverest!...who gives time
to find God. And he's the cleverest!...who finds that supreme happiness
within!"

He's the cleverest....who finds God.

Within that statement is everything you will ever need to know.

Yes, you ARE smart to check it out. I'll give you that...but, don't take
this
bit of Grace too lightly, boy. You, too, could wind up entangled in some
'spiritual' net of someone's, somewhere! So...heads up! and ....if all else
fails (and as Stu Resnick will tell you): there's always ZEN (buddhism)
;)
Yoganandaji also said: "He who can stand unshaken amidst the crash of
breaking world's...he who's peace, the riches of peace cannot be taken away
by all the robbers of circumstances and trials."

I thank God and Divine Mother, but mostly my very own Self, for
finding....God.
Thanks to That, I stand unshaken. May Peace and God's Love Guide You,

Yes, V! Our previous tete-a-tete came to mind after I posted to phil to
take a 'leap'. (Just so's ya know that i'm thinking about you!)

However, as phil had previously asked for information about other sites,
(and, if my memory serves me right - he wasn't all that pleased with what
was happening in our NG) - i felt it was my duty to give him an extra push
toward the sites Ms.Bong mentioned in her post.

I also seem to remember Phil posting something about how thrilled he was to
hear how things were going at the B'day celebration in GSP (guess that
unnerved me a tad!).

Yeah! Funny how that happened! I noticed it as well (about mr.

Seriously, Vaughn, thanks for the reminder, It's a good thing to keep in

Wow, so we finally get to chat on a calmer note. And I appreciate this
level of communication. You wrote "She's just a puppet of the SYDA
organization" I've had this feeling from staying at the ashram once and the
other times I went to the summer retreat. Call me judgmental based on just
a few incidences (and others will). It was my feeling that the entourage
felt like a wall restricting access and it made me uncomfortable. I had
always thought that people of that kind of position should be accessible;
apparently not. My experience maybe somewhat like what you were talking
about. I've had conversation with family friends still in SYDA (who
introduced me to SYDA) and, whenever I brought up Swami Nityananda in
Pinebush (her brother) I'd get the "we don't talk about him here." I was
even told some rumors about Afif. When I asked a little more, I was told to
watch what I say or ask about while I was in the ashram. I found that older
members/sevites? who were around Muktananda had a one one-upmanship
attitude and constantly reminded others around them of their status/grace.
And this is what I was referring to about the Muktananda days. Out of
respect for Bhagawan Nityananda, I've respected the lineage but had enough
suspicion about being around and apart of the ashram atmosphere based on my
first impressions. S235 & Andy gave me some good sights to check and I was
reading these two carefully.

It appears to me, that to some extent my experiences on secrecy etc go along
with what has been said in the open letter. Though this is the first time
I've been able to even attempt discussing what I've experienced to validate
it or not.

Here is the address again:

http://www.mtsac.edu/~dlane/saidjun3.html

Go read it for yourself.

I'll include a quote. Maybe you can tell me what his words mean.

Begin quoted material:

I would like everyone to see what I have based my based my opinion of =
Raju - aka Sai Baba, his last name - so that they can choose if they are =
facts or assumptions as Bon claims. They are the following:
1. I have seen three movies with some very clear, close shots of Baba =
cheating on "materializations" of "holy" ash, a necklace, and either =
another necklace or a rings, I don't remember which one.
2. I have had Raju touch my testicle some five or six times. He has =
hugged me while touching me. He has breathed hard and made sexual =
noises. So, I have concluded that he was touching me in a sexual way.
3. Raju has directed me to touch his testicle by taking my hand and =
rubbing it against his testicle. Further, he made loud sexual noises. =
So, I have come to the conclusion that he was sexually aroused and =
enjoying it.

End of quoted material.

By the way - your email states your organization as the: "Iranian Armyknife:
spoon". What's that?

I guess if it happened to you, you would believe it. But if it happened to
you there would also be thousands of blind cult followers in denial that
would be rolling on the floor laughing their asses off because they wouldn't
believe it. It wouldn't have been their experience.

Right? Isn't that what your cult leader tells you? Trust your own
experience? I guess it is only ok to trust your own experience if you have
not been abused in some way. And then if you have been abused, there is
some divine purpose for that abuse which really isn't abuse after all but
some divine blessing.

Yeah, that works! Abuse me because it is really only a blessing from God.

What the hell? You posted the exact same paragraph in response to my
post in another newsgroup. Are you a vegetable? Can't you respond to

Anyone who is ineterested in Sai Baba, should read the following
site. Its a must read for anyone interested in Sai Baba in any way.

http://psg.com/~ted/bcskeptics/sbmir/db-book.html

And here is an example of what you will find in that site. What kind of
God makes mistakes like this?

44 - Sai Baba's First Statement About the Meaning of the Star of
Bethlehem:

Christ was born. A huge aura of splendour filled the sky with
light. This was a sign that He had overcome the darkness of evil and
ignorance. The light of Love had come into the world. it was the dawn of
the era of Divine Guidance.

Sai Baba, quoted in Eastern View, p. 6.

45 - Sai Baba's Second Statement About the Meaning of the Star of
Bethlehem:

The bright star that appeared on His Birthday was the same bright
star which appears once every 800 years. The bright star appeared
because of its own natural pattern, not because of Jesus. Emotional
people say this star appeared for Jesus. There is no rule that bright
stars must appear when divine energies or Divine Incarnations descend to
earth. In their emotion about God devotees spread sentimental stories.

Andy, hi. I am the person who confessed that Sai Baba touched my
testicle 5-6 times. I never even thought about this molestation until
1-2 years later when I had left Sai Baba and came to my senses. Mind
control in Sai Baba's organization is very powerfull. His followers
always say look at Sai Baba's teachings and see how good they are...How
can a person with such teachings be doing such horrible things. But it
is those very same teachings that put people into mind control. Anyhow,
I am glad that its over with.

Also, this Stupid fellow who is posting under the name Said
Khorramshahgol is using my name. My name is Said Khorramshahgol. He is
posting links to my experience online, and trying to make fun of my
writings, but as you see, he is very hard to understand. I am going
through the right channels to track him down and take him to court for
using my identity and pretending to be me. His posting privilages along
with his ISP account should be cancelled soon. So, don't worry about
this guy.

He is just trying to make fun of me. I am Iranian and he is trying to
make fun of this. Anyhow, he won't be making such comments in court.
He will probably say something right along the lines of "I is no very

Unfortunately (for us) they (most all spiritual leaders) are just like all
other 'famous'
people - one has to really want to make contact with them or it ain't gonna
happen!
And then one has to MAKE it happen - somehow. When i first met Muktananda,
I wanted very badly to reap all the benefits I could from my contact with
him. I needed to find out for myself if he was everything everyone was
saying he was; so i learned to make definite deliberate attempts to be near
him. (But, Muktananda actually WAS more accessible than gm. I hear she
doesn't even give darshan anymore! [probably a bit paranoid about all that
'bad' karma comin' back at her!])

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be around Muktananda.
By watching him, I began to understand what it was i was seeking....my Self.
He made me realize that it was me - ME - who was doing it! I am the one
who did all the work, and I am the one receiving the benefits of that hard
work. I really believe that he was sincere in wanting us all to 'get' this
teaching. Whether or not anyone DID 'get it' - well, that's up to them. I
DID, and I'm very very thankful for his help in that realization.

When I was with Baba, I achieved what I (still) consider to be one of the
'milestones' of spirituality....the experience of 'Samadhi' . I can
honestly say that Muktananda helped me reach my goal. He was an inspiration
for me; he encouraged me on a personal level to progress spiritually, and
urged me onward towards my goal. He was a great teacher, (no matter what
happened towards the end of his life and no matter what anyone says about
him), I will always consider him to be at least that.

IMHO Muktananda did alot of GOOD things....got alot of people interested in
meditation as well as familiar with Hinduism (which is not a bad thing in
itself). He had a very magnetic personality - and an incredible intensity
in his eyes....that I will never forget. I felt a lot of love for him and
from him. The end of his life was a sad, very sad affair. I have great
compassion for everyone who suffered.

This all sounds like the typical shit that happens around any organization,
the 'spiritual' ones seem to be the worst!

I, too, felt a lot of respect for Sri Nityananda (baba's guru); most of the
time I
seriously considered myself to be a devotee of Bhagawan Nityananda more than
of Muktananda. His (Muktananda's) fascination with himself was one of the
first signs to me that 'all was not well' with him. Towards the end of his
life he began obsessively taking photographs of himself; in different
outfits, hats, shades, etc. It all looked rather silly to me - so I tended
to lean inwards towards Nityananda, which helped me reach deeper inside
myself.

However, when stories began floating around about Muktananda molesting
little girls!.....well, i don't think anyone was prepared for that! It was
such a shock! My boyfriend at the time completely dropped the whole SYDA
thing and went completely whacko!! He was SO angry and upset at me!!! (for
not outright abandoning SY the way he did). However, I had a particularly
unique perspective of the situation, as my dear grandfather who was the same
age, was going through a very similar kind of degenerative process (of mind
and body); and he too started acting out in sexually inappropriate (socially
immoral/amoral) ways.

Watching and being with my grandfather helped me to understand what
Muktananda must have been going through. My grandfather wasn't "Bad" just
because he degenerated into a childlike state sexually ! - it was the result
of his illness. I could not HATE him for being sick! My grandfather and I
were very close, and i believe that going through everything I did (with
him) helped me finally accept what happened to Baba. Baba was sick. Very,
very sick. And I have compassion for the sick, and I forgive him. .

I'm certain that everyone who was involved with SYDA at that time went
through some incredible trauma or another!

Well, enough blab for now. I, too, am glad to be communing with you on a
calmer note. Perhaps we may even learn something from one another! Who
knows?
Your friend, Om, shanti, xs

I am sorry that you were abused by this ass hole others call saint. I am
also sorry that that you continue to be harassed by this moron who has
chosen to post using your identity to ridicule you.

I guess that those still in the cult are so threatened they will go to any
lengths to keep their house of cards from falling down. They fear exposure
so much they will go to any lengths to try and deny others' experiences.

I find it quite the paradox that they claim only their experience is true,
yet are very quick to deny any one else's experience if different from
theirs. I guess the bottom line is, they can only acknolowedge one
experience - the one their cult leader has told them is the right experience
to have. They have been rendered incapable of recognizing any experience
other than the cult party line experience.

Before I begin let me say I am the same guy who
posted the
original "bullshit"
that you are refering to.

First of all, I don't believe your story, Baba never,
ever
has created things
like that, let alone 4 of them in one interview. Not
a
single story in the
many books that I have read have suggested that he
materialized things the
way you are telling me he did. But lets say he did
create
things the way you
are describing them. Then what would you say if I
showed
you a movie that
has 4 clear shots of him cheating? Maybe he lost his
powers
since you saw
him :o) Watch "God lives in India", this movie is
watched by
his devotees.
Just watch his hands at all time, there will come a
time
when the right hand
will move under the right hand and the transfer of
material
happens. One
shot is so clear and interesting that your story
becomes
somewhat of a
fiction if you see this. I have seen Baba cheat in
three
movies and what I
saw in these movies have been the same as the story
that the
orginal post
describes and the original post was written before
these
movies came out.

The last time I went to India, for the first time
Baba's
org. had arranged
for 20 American students to see Baba. These students
got an
interview and
Baba created a ring/necklace for almost all of them
or all
of them, I don't
remember. Half of these students saw Baba take things
and
put things back
from the chair that he was sitting on in the
interview room
-- and others
have reported the same thing including a devotee who
wrote
about this in her
book about Baba, she is still a devotee. They became
very
suspicious of Baba
and one of them was very vocal about what he saw.
Two days
after this
incident, in darshan -- when Baba comes out and walks
among
his devotees --,
when Baba reached the American students, he circled
his
hand, he
"materialized" ash, and he threw it on the student's
face --
that one that
was very vocal of what he saw. The student was so
embarassed and mad, poor
guy. When Baba turned around his face was full of
anger. I
saw this with my
own eyes. He is no God, but a black magician, most
probably.

In all of his aliases, the majority of Afshin's

How in the world did you understand Jesus' sayings? hehehee

And what was the purpose of your quotes from the Bible? Are his sayings
contradictory like Sai Baba's are? hehehe

Andy, I greatly appreciate your support. It means a lot to me.

As far as Sai Baba devotees are concerned, you have to have been brain
washed by Sai Baba to understand what they are going through. When I
was a Sai Baba devotee, just the idea that Sai Baba "might" be a cult
leader gave me A LOT of pain within. I had to push such ideas away very
quickly. Thats why when I saw the first movie that showes Sai Baba
cheating, it took me some 6 months to even consider what I had seen.
During that six months I remained a devotee and pushed away any thought
about that movie. Thats how bad the brain washing is in Sai Baba's
organization. How can any of his followers judge him if they push away
the idea that Sai Baba is a cult leader immediately? It causes them
great pain and thats why if you ever run across a devotee and tell him
about this, he will more than likely start shouting at you. I have seen
it before.

Again, thank you for your support Andy.

Best regards,
Said Khorramshahgol (Afshin)

No problem about the support. It pisses me off to no end when i see this
kind of blind denial.

I do understand. I think that to be involved with any cult for any length
of time a certain amount of brainwashing has to take place. We have
discussed on this newsgroup the many reason's for why we suspended our own
rational minds to this brainwashing. For some of us, we are still trying to
figure it out so that it can never happen again.

We have seen it here on this newsgroup by devotees of $iddha Yoga. So I
know this reaction well.

I do wish you well in all that you do and in your search for happiness.

So many times we've heard SYDA supporters say that they ignore all the
reports of the gurus' misdeeds because "it's not my experience."

It reminds me of my own attitude towards snoring. Over & over again I've
been told that I snore too loud. But I know it's not really true, cause
*I've* never heard it!

Andy, thank you for so clearly stating an interesting phenomemon among
blissfully ignorant devotees.
