Help! I want off this thing. I am on an estrogen rollercoaster. I am so
confused. I had my ovaries removed last
September at age 32 and they immediately put me on a .1 patch. Then after
complaining
to doc for 6 months about obvious estrogen dominance symptoms, I found out
about this estrogen dominance on the web and insisted on blood test. They
said it was 438 instead of around 50 and put me on .05 and then said I was
still dominant without another test and put me on .025. Still did no follow
up test. Went to new doc, got test results that said I had almost no
estrogen. I think level was under 30. They put me on pills at .625, which I
thought would put my level through the roof again, well after 6 wks of new
dose, I got a call this am saying it had dropped even more and was now below
20. Now they want me on 1.25 a day, MORE THAN EVER! I cannot figure this
out. Of course besides severe hot flashes and all other related symptoms, I
am in a constant flare up with the fibro. Has anyone any insight on this?
Before this I tried every other alternative to cure endometriosis including:
laproscopy, depo-lupron injections, removal of uterus and finally both
ovaries. 2 months post surgery, I was diagnosed with FMS, CFS and MPS.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome,

It sounds like it's time to try an endo specialist. They can and will
remove all of the endo including the microscopic endo. It appears to be the
best thing we have at this time to give us the most amount of time painfree.
Also, endo lesions have been found to produce their own estrogen, therefore
you are adding estrogen to what your body is already making even though you
don't have ovaries to do it. Check on the posts on the Aromatase Inhibitor
Study. You might find that interesting. I hope you find answers and relief
soon.

I had several different treatments with a specialist including a laproscopy,
dep-lupron injections for 6 months, removal of my uterus, and finally just a
year ago removal of ovaries and tubes where they also scraped it off my
colon and bladder. But thank you for the suggestion and I will look into
this site!
