Where can I buy pastel paper (blue/lavender/green/pink etc) in the UK, I've
tried Rymans, but they sell only small quantities (expensive) and I am a
student and needs a lot of it.
Any suggestions/Web-site addresses welcome?

Office World have coloured copy paper in 500 sheet packages and some are
in mixed packets I think. I think also that it may be possible to buy
2500 amount ie a box at cheaper rate. they supple by mail order and i
think they may well have a web site too. They are a chain of stationery
stores usually based in Out of town shopping centres.

I also have heard that Stationary Express does coloured paper and things
and they are found in suburban shopping centres in cities and in town
centres. I haven't been to my local one yet but i will. Bit of an office
equipment freak me I file by colour and shape!

By which I meant using different sizes and textures of files A4 and A5
files, also box files, plastic
and also the symbols I put on the covers of some files to separate types
of writing - articles, short stories, poems.
I find it's quicker to look for a symbol than to read the titles and
interestingly I find if I choose them I can remember them effortlessly.
I never understood why file covers are often all one colour and the text
titles are so confusing.
and I use locations too by putting files in different bookshelves
depending on what part of my writing they relate to, I hate filing
cabinets.

After years of struggling with an alphabetically arranged filing cabinet
in which I often couldn't find what I was looking for, I evolved this
system and I lose much less, and I have a colourful office.

Wow! A geo-spatial, graphic filing system! You've probably invented the
next generation of desktops for GUI computer operating systems. A 3-D
desktop! Patent the idea before Microsoft gets to it. When I was a
maintenance manager on one of the ships I was stationed on I had my
bookshelves organized in a similar fashion. I also preferred to file
correspondence, reports, and instructions in loose-leaf binders on the
shelves instead of files in a cabinet. Things always get lost and forgotten
in a cabinet, but on the shelf I need only glance around to see and
remember.

Hiya Frank!

I just realized that I do "geographic" filing myself :-)

I don't need tabs on the folders or binders...they are in the place they
"belong" so I know what is in them already...desk arranged the same way.
When I got the new desk the system was off balance so I had to move
everything around so all my paperwork/stuff was in the "right place"...fun
realization...

The kind of geographic filing I would prefer is for the bills to be filed
in Florida or South America, anywhere but here!

If you need a regular supply it's worth finding a paper merchant who
will satisfy small orders (Yellow Pages lists them under "Paper and
Board Merchants"). They will have no difficulty in supplying what you
require and are likely to be cheaper then any office supplies company.

I would not bother with coloured paper - most stuff you will read as
dyslexic won't offer this

Strange though it may seem many of us write as well as read.

And I also use different colour paper to recall where I note things the
alphabet being hard for me to use/

My filofax has a variety of coloured paper in it and I find using colour
as some would use an alphabet very much easier for me. Not to mention it
is easier to read things which are not printed or written on a white
background.
