On Nov 5, 2000, my mother, who is 50 years old, was beaten by her
brother,
who is 54 years old, for trying to pick up her personal belongings from
their deceased mothers home. My family is outraged and we are having
problems trying to prosecute this convicted felon. Attached is a
letter I
sent to his Pastor. My family would be grateful for any helpful
information! Please help us!

Please take your time reading this letter. After weeks of
researching The Bible, Domestic Violence research material and a lot of
prayer, I feel, as I must share this with you, standing up for
principles and integrity as a duty to all of the victims of Domestic
Violence. Restoring self-respect, revealing truths, betrayals, exposing
deceits and hypocrisies, not out of malice, but for justice for the
people who retaliate against injustice but especially out of respect
for my beautiful, precious mother Linda Blackwood, in hope that her
abusers will stop hurting her. Not only have they hurt her physically,
emotionally and mentally, now they are lying and slandering her and her
family to people that we hold dear. They have the gall to lie and
slander our family even in The House of God. I am only revealing a
small portion of the abuse over the years, but if pushed I WILL reveal
more. I stand my ground in that the contents of this letter have been
gathered and compiled from a variety of credible sources, that when
collectively viewed, the truth may be revealed.

FOR THERE IS NOTHING COVERED THAT SHALL NOT BE REVEALED; NEITHER

November 5, 2000, my family, Larry Blackwood, Linda Blackwood,
Darren Blackwood, Bobby Watson, my seven year old daughter Lindsy
Watson and myself, Dawndi Watson went to pick up our personal
belongings, a bedroom suite that my mother had purchased, curtains, a
mirror, and wall decorations that me and my mother had lent to my
grandmother Susie Shadden Coley.

Susie resided in a trailer purchased by her son, also my mothers
brother, Larry Shadden, for $3000.00. Susie passed away August
7,1999. Her daughter Carolyn Beldon moved into the trailer using all
of my grandmother’s things. We then let Carolyn use our personal
belongings for her and her granddaughter. Carolyn passed away October
26, 2000.

My mother called Larry Shadden to let him know that we wanted to
get our personal belongings out of his trailer. Larry agreed to let us
in the trailer to get our personal belongings. We were 15 minutes late
and no one was available at the trailer. We went around the trailer
park where Steve and Linda Shadden lives to call Larry Shadden to see
what had happened and would he let us in to get our things, he told my
mother, “If you want some crap I’ll give you some crap” and hung up the
phone, we had no idea that he was filled with such hate toward our
family. Larry Shadden is known for throwing outrageous fits, throwing
dominoes against the wall when he loses the game, being vindictive,
spreading lies, and yelling at people, he will go months without
speaking to a person for something totally ridiculous, so we did not
think anything of the fit he was throwing this time. My family and
Steve and Linda Shadden and their grandson 1 year old Michael all went
down to Larry’s trailer to wait for him. We were all sitting in the
front yard visiting. Larry Shadden pulled up very abruptly with his
wife Denise Shadden, his granddaughter Brittney, and a friend of
Brittneys, Larry was dressed in a suit on his way to church. (Larry
claims to be a minister in a Pentecostal church, but he is not
qualified for the ministry according to the Bible, for he has been
married two times. 1 TIMOTHY 3 : 2-3, 1 TIMOTHY 3 : 12. )

What happened next is beyond belief. Larry Shadden is way out of
control, driving from East Bakersfield to Southwest Bakersfield, having
plenty of time to premeditate his inexcusable actions. Stopping his
vehicle very abruptly, Larry Shadden jumps out of his car, runs towards
the gate of the trailer with a look of pure hate on his face, he kicks
the gate open with his foot, runs up to my mother who is sitting in a
swing next to me, gets in her face and screams, “DO YOU WANT TO GET IT
ON?” He then gets in my dads face, who is also sitting down and
screams,” DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY FATBOY?” I then stand up and
say “You can’t talk to my parents like that!” Larry Shadden hits me on
the right shoulder knocking me off balance, shoved me on the right
shoulder back into the swing where I had been sitting next to my
mother. He attacks my mother, beating her with his fists in the face,
back, stomach, chest and neck, he is hitting her with such rage that it
took us a few seconds to get him off of her. Steve Shadden and Darren
Blackwood are holding him back keeping him off of my mother. Larry
Shadden was screaming obscenities at my mother. Darren raised his fist
to hit Larry and put his fist down telling Larry, “You are not worth
it” After Larry was let go, he than sucker punched Darren in the chest
area hurting Darren putting him to the ground. Keep in mind that Larry
is an old man, recently had surgery, wears a colostomy bag and is in
very poor health, one hit to him could hurt him bad, or possibly kill
him. Larry Shadden has been close to death at least two times this
year. My family, The Blackwood’s are non-violent by nature, we would
rather work out a disagreement by using our words like normal law
abiding citizens do. Nobody wanted to take the chance of hurting him,
he is not worth any of my family to go to jail for. After he sucker
punches Darren, he attacks my mother again, grabbing her by the arms
and hitting her several more times on the left side of her face, we
pull him off of her again trying to get her out of his reach so he can
not hurt her again, he is screaming for us to “GET THE F@#! OFF OF HIS
PROPERTY AND DON’T EVER FU@#ING COME BACK!”
He repeats this several times still threatening my family. The police,
paramedics, and the fire department arrive, Larry Shadden was still
ranting and raving, telling the police that my mother wanted
everything, but when Denise Shadden was asked what my mother wanted out
of the trailer, she told them my mother only wanted to get her personal
belongings, bedroom suite, and some pictures off the wall. The police
tried to convince Larry Shadden to let my mother get her things, but he
refused, saying that he wanted her to have to come back for them. Larry
Shadden was taken by ambulance to the hospital because his blood
pressure was elevated. My mother refused to receive treatment from the
paramedics in fear that her family (Shaddens’) would turn on her. As
they have already done.

HE THAT IS SOON ANGRY DEALETH FOOLISHLY; AND A MAN OF WICKED
DEVICES IS HATED. PROVERBS 14:17

I wanted Larry Shadden arrested that night, and I still want him
arrested. Violence is inexcusable, unacceptable and not tolerated by my
family’s morals. Larry Shadden broke the law; he hit a woman, not just
a woman, his little sister, OUR MOTHER. How low can a person go to
beat up a woman in front of her own family? In front of her seven-year-
old granddaughter who was standing right behind Larry Shadden watching
the whole thing. Lindsy adored Larry Shadden, whom she called “uncle
papa”. She watched in horror as her “uncle papa” beat up her “Mimi”,
not just once, but twice. She saw him hit her mother, hit her uncle
Darren, and get in her Papa’s face and call him a “FATBOY”. If my
daughter had any respect for Larry and Denise Shadden, I can tell you
she never will again. I will instill in her that IT IS NOT “ OK”, for
a man to hit a woman for any reason, and that if a man hits a woman you
do not protect that man, no matter who he may be. No one deserves to be
abused. It is unacceptable behavior punishable by the law.

AND THEY CONSIDER NOT IN THEIR HEARTS THAT I REMEMBER ALL THEIR
WICKEDNESS: NOW THEIR OWN DOINGS HAVE BESET THEM ABOUT; THEY ARE
BEFORE MY FACE. HOSEA 7:2

Steve and Linda Shadden refused to give a statement to the
police, in fear that Larry would be arrested. They both lied to the
police, saying that they did not see anything. Linda Shadden tells my
family that she is not allowed to say anything or give her opinion.
(Why she takes up for Larry Shadden, I don’t know. Larry Shadden has
made the statement “When Steve Shadden dies, I will never speak or have
anything to do with Linda Shadden or her children ”.) Steve Shadden
called my father and my husband “idiots” that night for telling the
police the truth, and actually had the nerve to ask why they wanted
Larry Shadden arrested, that this was a family matter. “Family
matter?” Obviously, they do not know the meaning of family. Steve
Shadden does not have my mothers’ best interest at heart. Real men do
not hit women. Jerry Shadden went to church spreading lies, having the
nerve to try and convince my dad’s own brother that my family was
lying, that he was there and seen it all, as if people would actually
believe Jerry Shadden. Jerry Shadden’s violent nature is of public
record. Only a fool would believe Jerry Shadden.

WOE UNTO THEM THAT SEEK DEEP TO HIDE THEIR COUNSEL FROM THE LORD,
AND THEIR WORKS ARE IN THE DARK, AND THEY SAY WHO SEETH US? AND WHO
KNOWETH US? ISAIAH 29:15

A FALSE WITNESS SHALL NOT BE UNPUNISHED, AND HE THAT SPEAKETH LIES
SHALL PERISH. PROVERBS 19:9

SEEST THOU A MAN THAT IS HASTY IN HIS WORDS? THERE IS MORE HOPE
OF A FOOL THAN OF HIM. PROVERBS 29:20

My grandmother Susie Shadden, told me several times that she was
scared of Larry Shadden, that he had got in her face, screamed at her
several times, and would not let her make a will, saying that when she
died, he would lock the trailer up and nobody would get anything. She
did not have anything of value, only sentimental things that only a
daughter or a granddaughter would appreciate. I just thought she was
senile, and I made excuses for him. Bless her poor lonely heart, she
died a very sad, heartbroken old woman, they would not visit her in the
hospital, claiming they were to sick, or telling her that their
children had lice for more than three months. Steve Shadden was
supposed to pick her up from the hospital on one occasion, but never
showed, she waited for hours embarrassed and humiliated, a nurse
finally took her home. If I had known that he was going to stand her
up, I would have picked her up. They would not ride in the ambulance
with her on the way to the hospital; they had more important things to
do, like paint the church. They would not ride in the ambulance on her
very last trip to the hospital. I rode in the ambulance both times,
holding her hand, comforting her while she cried. It was hours before
any of them arrived to check on her. The Shadden’s were so hostile at
the hospital security had to be called on several occasions, they
scared the poor little nuns so much they asked not to be left alone
with any of them. I spent almost all of my lunch hours with her, and
the majority of my weekends. We were like peas and carrots she would
say. I would watch her as tears streamed down her face because they
would not come and visit with her. I always made excuses for them so
that she would not grieve so much. I will make no more excuses for the
Shadden’s, for there is no excuse for them. Two of her children lived
in the same trailer park, and would not take the time to stop and check
to see how she was doing, or make sure she had food. She called me
several times late in the night asking me to bring her food because
they would break in her trailer and steal everything she’s got she
would say. We had to find someone to help take care of her because my
mother and I work full time, Her other children claimed they were to
poor in health, or did not have the time to help take care of her, not
one of them was working at the time. And it was my cousin, a BLACKWOOD
that nursed her to the end. Larry Shadden refused to go out of his way
to pick her up for church, saying it was to far out of his way. Larry
Shadden has a great front for the people who do not know the true Larry
Shadden, he makes fun of people behind their backs for weeks, this is a
favorite past time of the Shadden men, they love to antagonize people
until they either get mad, or get their feelings hurt, they find an
insecurity about a person and will publicly humiliate this person every
time they come in contact with them. They love to keep things going,
laughing at other peoples hurts, calling each other several times a day
on the telephone just to keep what ever trouble they have stirred up
going. They have time for this because they do not hold down jobs like
honorable men. And to think that Larry Shadden considers himself a
minister, what a joke. Larry Shadden has no principles or integrity;
he brings a reproach to the ministry according to The Bible.

FOR THIS CAUSE LEFT I THEE IN CRETE, THAT THOU SHOULDEST SET ORDER
THE THINGS THAT ARE WANTING, AND ORDAIN ELDERS IN EVERY CITY, AS I HAD
APPOINTED THEM. IF ANY BE BLAMELESS, THE HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE,
HAVING FAITHFUL CHILDREN NOT ACCUSED OF RIOT OR UNRULY. FOR A BISHOP
MUST BE BLAMELESS, AS THE STEWARD OF GOD;NOT SELFWILLED, NOT SOON
ANGRY, NOT GIVEN TO WINE, NO STRIKER, NOT GIVEN TO FILTHY LUCRE.
TITUS 1:5-7

HE THAT COVERETH HIS SINS SHALL NOT PROSPER; BUT WHOSO CONFESSETH
AND FORSAKETH THEM SHALL HAVE
MERCY.

PROVERBS 28:13

Violent behavior is an addiction. If kept secret, it gets worse.
You should talk to as many people as you can. Get it out in the open.
If any person helps to keep it a secret or refuses to acknowledge
violent behavior, they are just as guilty if not worse. It is a public
matter. Abusive people are habituated to their patterns of behavior
and may not be able to seek help on their own. If interceptive help
from outside resources does not happen, Larry Shadden WILL resort to
this type of violence again. Next time the victim may be YOUR mother,
wife, daughter, sister, or granddaughter. We never dreamed that this
would happen to our mother, or that a brother would attack his own
sister, his baby sister, OUR MOTHER, with such rage. Larry Shadden let
our family know that night, screaming with hostility, that he hates our
family.

WHOSOEVER HATETH HIS BROTHER IS A MURDERER: AND YE KNOW THAT NO
MURDERER HATH ETERNAL LIFE. 1 JOHN 3:15

WHO, WHEN HE WAS REVILED, REVILED NOT AGAIN; WHEN HE SUFFERED, HE
THREATENED NOT; BUT COMMITTED HIMSELF TO HIM THAT JUDGETH
RIGHTEOUSLY. 1 PETER 2:23

Be familiar with the indicators of family violence. Violent
families demonstrate certain “common characteristics”. They live in
closed systems; there is a firm commitment to maintain a tight boundary
between the family and the outside world. A common rule is secrecy;
social isolation is a way of maintaining the family secret. Often the
only people who have outside contact with a violent family is the
school system, a family doctor and maybe a church. It is imperative
that teachers, medical personnel and clergy know the indicators of
family violence and be committed to reporting it. Clergy are no longer
exempt from reporting family violence.

WOE TO THE REBELLIOUS CHILDREN, SAITH THE LORD, THAT TAKETH
COUNSEL, BUT NOT WITH ME; AND THAT COVER WITH A COVERING, BUT NOT OF MY

There is no gray area; there is no compromise. Domestic Violence
is a learned pattern of behavior whose effects, without intervention,
become more destructive and sometimes lethal over time. THERE IS NO
EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Larry Shadden must to God, to himself and to other beings the
exact nature of his addiction to violence. He must humbly ask God for
forgiveness and the courage to recover and learn a new way of being.
Larry and Denise taught their granddaughter Brittney, and all of the
other little girls that look up to them, also the boys and young men
that he is a role model to, that violence is acceptable, and that a man
can hit a woman when ever he feels angered or upset! Children who
witness violence have a tendency to act violently in adult
relationships. He claims he lost his temper because his mother died a
year ago, and his sister had passed away a few days before. What woman
or child will he hurt the next time a member of his family dies?

ALL THEREFORE WHATSOEVER THEY BID YOU OBSERVE, THAT OBSERVE AND
DO; BUT DO NOT YE AFTER THEIR WORKS; FOR THEY SAY AND DO NOT.
MATTHEW 23:3

One thing for certain, IT MUST STOP! It is no longer a private
matter. It is a serious crime.

The law defines “Domestic Violence” as physical harm, bodily
injury, assault, stalking, or the infliction of fear of imminent
physical harm, bodily injury or assault to a family or a household
member. Domestic Violence is the single greatest cause of injury to
women and children.

May God help my family heal from the hurt, humiliation and the
embarrassment that was forced into our lives by the outrageous behavior
of Larry Shadden. May we find in our hearts a way to forgive him and
his family. We will never have any relationship with any of the
Shadden family again, for they choose to cover up what happened on Nov
5, 2000 as they have on previous occasions where the Shadden men have
abused other women and children in their family. Two of the women
cannot speak for there selves for they have passed away. They choose
to cover up this outrageous act against their own sister, in fear that
Larry Shadden will be arrested. The Shadden family did not expect my
family to press charges against Larry Shadden, they thought that we
would cover this up for them, for they say it is a “family matter”.
That we should not have brought the law into this family matter.
Larry Shadden brought the law into this when he beat MY MOTHER, a
woman, his baby sister, Linda Blackwood. He took the law into his own
hands. What they do not realize is that, We are not Shaddens! OUR
PRECIOUS MOTHER IS A BLACKWOOD!!! We do not hit women! WE ARE
BLACKWOOD’S!!! REAL MEN DO NOT HIT WOMEN!!!

The Shadden family have alienated my mother, sending messages that
they are all “through with her”, making threats against her and her
family, spreading lies, hoping that we will back down. WE WILL NOT BACK
DOWN!!! Violence is a conscious choice, and perpetrated on someone
weaker and less able to retaliate. There is always a strong denial of
violence saying, “It happened because of this and that,” etc.
Minimizing and denying what actually took place, putting the blame on
others. Violent offenders play games with their prey, using emotional
abuse and isolation tactics from other family members, using threats as
strategies to avoid being held accountable for the outcome of their
behavior.

BE NOT DECEIVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED; FOR WHAT SO EVER A MAN SOWETH,
THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP. GALATIANS 6:7

We do not understand why the Shadden’s hate the Blackwood’s so
much. My dad, Larry Blackwood is an awesome man, he is my “hero”, and
he has never did anything but good for these people. Bailed them out
of jail, helped them financially, practically raised one of them, never
got involved in any of their family disagreements. The only time the
Shadden’s wanted him around is when he could give them something, or do
something for them. (Users and Losers) Otherwise they talked about
him and made fun of him calling him “fatboy”. If working hard,
providing for your family and treating your wife with respect is a
crime, then he is guilty as charged. Larry Blackwood has been married
into their family for almost 32 years. They did not even attend his
mother’s funeral, my grandmother, precious Pearl Blackwood. “ To far to
drive”, said Steve Shadden (15 miles at the most). None of the Shadden
men have provided for there families, there wives have always been the
bread makers, while the Shadden men worked a part time job, drew some
type of welfare or government assistance, or flat just not worked at
all. As matter of fact I have money taken out of my paycheck every pay
period to support people like the Shadden’s. Please do not help them
hide this kind of outrageous behavior anymore. Larry Shadden ripped a
family apart by his outrageous behavior. May he be punished according
to the laws of our Justice System. For we know how he will be
punished by God.

EVERY MAN’S WORK SHALL BE MADE MANIFEST, FOR THE DAY SHALL DECLARE
IT, BECAUSE IT SHALL BE REVEALED BY FIRE; AND THE FIRE SHALL TRY EVERY
MAN’S WORK OF WHAT SORT IT IS.

THAT EVERYONE MAY RECEIVE THE THINGS DONE IN HIS BODY, ACCORDING TO

God, bless my mother Linda Blackwood, give her the strength to
hold her head up high, may she comfort another victim of Domestic
Violence with the courage that YOU give her to fight back. Please help
stop the violence, report any Domestic Violence you see, or hear to the
proper authorities. Each of us contributes to creating a safe
community. Everyone has the right to feel safe. Please do not condone
this kind of outrageous behavior, take a stand against Domestic
Violence. Women and children suffer the most from this kind of behavior
and often become violent offenders as they mature. Thank you and God

My name is Mark shadden and replying to the post that dawndi Blackwood aka watson,Maiza,about my dad Steve shadden and my uncle Larry shadden. Dawndi said alot of things that only half truths of completely untrue.larry and his sister had been haveing words for sometime and it was just as much her fault as his but over nothing but junk.but that is not what I'm posting this I'm concerned of what she had posted about my dad Linda Blackwood had don't my dad very wrong in the past like when they were kids like getting paid 5 bucks to wash his car and her just spraying it off to him doing tile work and not giving him a dime for it to him Gove them money so they could make it back from Texas that's where they had to move because her dad got court stealing from his job at firestone,and let me make this clear he never ever lent my dad a penny.and about the Blackwood raising one of us is a lie all they did was send a couple of little boy on the mean streets of missippi selling peanutbrittle. See this is something dawndi don't know I know is she paid some guys to beat her own brother because they was feuding I bet her mom would like to know that,but she kept on until he killed his self now this is the actions of someone that says the Blackwood are peaceful people no the are not they are wolves in sheep's clothing.dawndi has keep this post for years while acting like she was a saint buddy she Satan and one more thing I get sick and tired of their lies and two faceless Linda posting that her Hart hurts for us is bullshit this is the peaceful person dawndi is my 70 year old mom that has been dawndis aunt ever since she was born had the cops put her and her grandson on the street and spreading lies my mother paid for all the food drove her mom to dr app and you know where dawndi was hateing her mom and everyone this peaceful person tried to get her mom fired from her job and slice her tires more than once caused her little brother wife to divorce him and she has brainwashed my aunt carols kid that they are wholesome she did tell her they said they could wait for her to passaway so those two could spread rosepeddles and dance on her grave and they forgot it was my dad and uncle Larry that talk my aunt Carol not to have dawndi brother arrested for possible molesting my baby cousin they forgot all that but then they thought stuff was family biz.
