I had carpal tunnel surgery about 7 years ago on my right hand. My
left one was my dominant hand until I was 12 and had a huge cyst
removed which damaged the nerves so much I had to switch permanently
to the right one. When I had the CT surgery I had forgotten what a
pain it is to only have one functioning hand, so many things were
such a challenge and soooo frustrating! It did heal pretty fast
though. unfortunately I also have diabetic neuropathy so the doc was
not sure if the surgery would help much because no way to know how
much of the problems were due to CT and how much the other...even
though the surgery itself was a success I got little relief from
symptoms so I opted out of the CT surgery on my left hand. I hope
your doing well and that your recovery is quick and you have a
positive result.
