The weather is getting back to seasonal, mid 40sF, sunny, not too bad.
I am pondering if we want to go skiing this weekend. Fritz is at a
friend's house for a sleepover today and kidlette will be having a
sleepover here with a friend tomorrow night.
I have a steady level of clients to train this week so I'm not stuck
sitting around the house, but I'm not too busy that there is no down
time. It's nice.
I think we have finally caught up on all the gift cards and putting
things together and shlepping recycling to the place (it's amazing
how much stuff goes with getting/giving gifts at this time of year!:P)
and now we can just loaf and relax. The kids' school starts up on Wed
next week. I figure we'll do at least one day of something fun
(museum, movies, whatever) before then.
Pretty calm and relaxing around here right now :)

We're probly not skiing this weekend either :P Turns out they are
having a blizzard by the ski place and getting to it means pretty
rough roads. Not something I'd want to be stuck on with two kids.
I'm not sure they could ski out safely or stay in the truck a few days
until we could dig out. Maybe I'll take them on Monday if the blizzard
is done. They are at the point where I can handle them both together
by myself xcountry skiing. last year they both learned that they can
just take off their skies and walk if necessary! *grin* That makes it
easier on me cause I don't have to try to convince them to move or
pull them along together. Maybe this time we will bring snow shoes
and tramp around in them a bit...

The colors blend, the edges soften. Swirling and mixing
we are becoming white light.

Seems like a fair trade to put up with if you get to live in HI. We
live in one of the few places in the whole US that has no termites and
no cockroaches. No dust mites either.
So, while tenting where will you stay? Hotel? Maybe take a vacation?
I'm glad you will be able to have a fun day before school starts
again.
Best wishes,
Peter
hotel
dunno about vacation
too expensive to get places
is just one or two days anyway
True, but I'll bet there's something nearby you could visit as a
mini vacation. Of course, to my kids just staying in a hotel is
a vacation. They play in the pool and lay around and play board
games.
one night stay
friday night
get back into house saturday late afternoon
so will have to find something to do saturday day time
not really looking forward to this
But sir lala is old enough to do something fun so you can just make
it a day out with him.
could
likely will
So it might end up being a fun thing :) Only not fun part will be that
it's a necessity and not pre-planned. That would have made it best,
if you had planned to go wherever and then thought 'oh what the heck,
while we are out doing x I'll have the place tented' *grin*
