I'm just lurking for the time being but thought I'd ask. I've been
diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for roughly 7 years and CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue
and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome)is also heavily suspected. However, due to
some breathing difficulties several tests were done that showed a good
possibility of mild Astama and "moderately severe neromuscular disease"
(due to a weakness of the respritory muscles). Being sent to a neurologist
as a result. Anyone know if FM and CFIDS can cause this or what type of
condition CFIDS can be confused with?

Breathing problems (particularly weakness in exhaling)
does occur in some of the types of Charcot Marie Tooth
disorder (CMT) (peripheral neuropathies which mainly
affect the feet and lower legs, and also hands /lower arms).
Most people with CMT experience fatigue, for some it is
a major problem. About 50% of people with CMT also
experience pain in legs and/or arms, for some it is chronic pain.
