Here is my life experience. I tried ALL methods to stop my food
addiction but none worked.

I once went to my psychiatrist to cure my general depression, and she
prescribed me "Seroxat", this medication finished my food addiction.
Another medication which normalized my food appetite was "Zoloft".
Both of them worked for me, but it is not guaranteed that they will
work for everyone as is the case with all antidepressants. But never
take them without the prescription of doctors. Food Addiction is
simply OCD case which can easily be cured by OCD medications. Dieting
or weight loss aims can't be achieved by 12 steps etc. one has to
change one's brain chemicals to work it out.

Simple theory behind SSRI anti-depressants is that "serotonin
deficiency" in your brain will ruin your mood, affect your sleep and
cause food cravings. SSRI medications increase "Serotonin" levels in
the brain i.e. eliminating food cravings. If it also solved your
addiction, I would love to hear your story.
