I hate drinking plain water, so I bought some of the sugar free drink
packets to add flavor to the water.

Question: On the drink packets' box it states that it is a soft drink mix.
So, can I still count it as water or do I have to consider it as a drink?

I'm sorry if I didn't make all of the clear.

Thanks

If you are refering to something like Crystal Lite that is sugar free then
yes count it towards your water requirement. Any sugar free, caffine free
drink can be counted towards your water. But the 8 Healthy Guidelines does
say you can use these as substitutes for half of your water. How about
trying sparkling water for the other half of your requirement? Or
alternative plain water with a flavored glass?

I put in real lemon juice for some of mine, I also hate water and sometimes
can get it down if I drink it hot from the tap as quickly as possibly, Lee

Any caffeine free beverage can count as half your water of the day.. doesn't
have to be sugar free...

Really? The books says "feel free to count caffine-free, sugar-free
beverages, like caffine-free tea and sugar-free lemonade- but only for half
of your intake." I took this as caffine-free AND sugar-free.

I'll have to check my old books. I gave them to DD. {yeah, I know, wishful
thinking on my part}

It makes sense. Who wants a 100 - 120 decaf soda like Sprite to count as
water. That, to me, defeats the purpose of water. All that sugar is not good
for you either. Isn't that another one of the 8HG to limit sugar?
