If anyone has gone to a weight loss spa or retreat, can you please
post your opinion, review, etc., especially including the name of the
place and the cost, how was the counselling, programs, food, etc. I
am thinking of going but they are quite expensive and none (that I
have found so far, at least) seem to offer quite what I want. Would
appreciate any comments or reviews.

Thanks!

Me, me, me !! Just in case she doesn't take you up on the offer. Can I
bring my bike? I'll bring one for you, too.

I was going to offer the same invite.

I still have Florida on my list for bike rides :) My summer schedule is
filling up fast. A trip to Dollywood with the granddaughters, trip to NC or
SC with the aunt, sister and cousins, bike patrol, etc. I'm having a hard
time fitting everything in. And I still have to use that free airline
ticket I received. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford to use it after
everything else <g>

You just want someone to cook for you ;-)

I'd actually love that Beverly. We could go to Acadia National Park and
ride on the carriage roads. Let's do it in September or October after
the throngs of tourists leave and the weather is glorious. I'm always
envious of your bike adventures but I don't trust the drivers on these
roads to actually get another bike. I rode a lot when we lived in
Columbia Maryland. My repair guy had been on the Olympic team at one
time <s>.

That's sound great. Maybe we can work something out for next fall. I have
a trip planned with the aunt, sister and some cousins for the Sept/Oct time
frame this year. It will be a non-biking trip as they're all walkers or
non-exercisers<g> I've never been to Maine. NH is about as close as I've
been. The aunt, cousins and I did a trip a couple of years ago and visited
parts of Vermont and New Hampshire. The country was beautiful.

One of the items on my "things to do" list is to ride a bike trail in each
of the states. I could mark Maine off my list<g> I've already marked off
Missouri, NY and Virginia. Hmmmmm......trip to the east coast, bike trail
in each state....sounds like a nice trip.

Check out either Structure House http://www.structurehouse.com or Duke
Diet and Fitness http://www.dukedietcenter.org

Structure House deals more with the psychological aspects of losing weight
while Duke is more medically oriented.

Figure $6500-$8000 for the month long programs.

It's rainy and crappy for the second day in a row!!!! Good thing I'm
headed for the People's Republic of Massachusetts tomorrow <s> It looks
like 60 and partly cloudy in your fair city. That will be a vast
improvement.

It's been rainy and crappy here too, but it looks like the sun
is trying to break through.
