Phendimetrazine: info needed

Since you asked Steve to explain what Phendimetrazine is, I'll defer
to his answer.
For the curious PHENDIMETRAZINE is also sold as:
adipost, adphen, alphazine, anorex, bacarate, bontril, PDM,
di-ap-trol, dyrexan-od, hyrex, melfiat, obalan, obeval, obezine,
phenazine, phenzine, plegine, prelu-2, Sprx, statobex, trimstat,
trimtabs, weh-less, weightrol and x-trozine.
OK. Phendimetrazine is another cousin of phentermine. It induces
release of dopamine and norepinephrine while blocking their re-uptake.
Works the same as Phentermine. It is definitely NOT your fenfluramine
(fen) half.
I'd guess your doc is unsure of what he is doing or figures if he
gives you two drugs you'll never know the difference. Why not ask him
why you are not getting any serotonin enhancement.

Phendimetrazine is similar to phentermine--both are amphetamine-like
stimulant anorectic drugs. Why he'd dispense these two together rather
than just a larger dose of one of the two isn't obvious to me. I've
always seen phendimetrazine in 35mg doses, not 20mg. It's a C-III controlled
substance, considered to have somewhat more abuse potential than phentermine,
which is C-IV.
Brand-name fenfluramine (Pondimin, all you can get these days in the US)
is a small bright-orange tablet, containing 20mg of the drug.
