I've been busy all week. I have a show coming up on Sept. 23 so I've been
painting like a crazy lady! It was too hot to work in the studio most of
the summer. Have two more in this series to do before then. I'll also be
doing an open canvas on the 24th. That's where I set up and paint right in
the place. Should be a lot of fun!

The links are worth it and not excessive at all IMHO. It's going to take
me a while to properly look through your works and really appreciate
them. I'm going to recommend your site to some friends.

IMHO. You are exceptionally talented.

BTW...Love the piccy of you on the front page.

Need to put a new pic up. I'm now blond and wear different glasses. I get
bored with my looks very easily. ;>)

I gotta tell ya, I love what I do. I get to play kindergarten allllll day
long. It's tiring work but the good kind of tired.

It'd be interesting to know what all the UK people think of my art. Maybe I
should go over there to see if it sells. It certainly doesn't in Milw.,
Wics. USA!

Thanks. It'd be nice to sell a couple. It's a tight art market in this
town. Thank goodness I don't do this in order to make a living. I'd be the
definition of the starving artist. Of course most of my friends are also
startving artists so we can all starve together!

I wonder how many carbs are in paint? ;>)

Someone asked me at one of my shows how I come up with the ideas for my
paintings. I looked deadpan at them and said, "Good meds." They gave me
this weird look and walked away. hehehehe

Life is good right now. I love it when the work turns out. Thanks for the
good word, friend.

way with colour and form.

In this painting, I expect an alien to pop in and make an adjustment or

I don't think you'd lose anything by trying to find a local agent. But you
might do better with a specialist audience - that spaceship series might go
down really, really well at science fiction conventions, where the large
ones have art shows? I'm spent up from the last World Convention, which has
just happened in Scotland : )

Yes, I call some of my art abstract. True abstract art is just color and
form without any recognizable elements. I take reality and abstract that.
Art is so interpretive it's sometimes hard to pinpoint an exact catagory for
something.

I credit the art with keeping me stable these last few years. It's a great
outlet for my manic energies. Kinda obvious, isn't it? ;>)

As you always do, you put enough elements in your work for me to see
it in many ways. My first impression is that of a mind's progression
*to* a spaceship, but I will have to look a litle longer,,,,,,

Have you ever had any shows outside of Milwaukee? Maybe there would be more
opportunity to show and sell paintings in the big city just south of the
Wisconsin-Illinois border. Not being an artist I wouldn't know though.
There isn't much demand for stick figure drawings! :o) I like the colors in
Spaceship but my favorites are Psychedizis, A Calla for ya and In the
Pulpit. Nice work!

Well, the good news is I sold one today! It's not online as it didn't
photograph well. Now I can afford some more art supplies! Addictions are
soooooo much fun!

Thanks much for the compliment. Chicago is on the roster for in another
year or so. I want to get a little more experience here. It's a good
market for finding what sells. If it sells in Milwaukee, it'll probably
sell anywhere.

It was strange doing that piece. It just started painting itself after
awhile. It just kept evolving until it got to that point. It was taken
from a photo from a scrap yard. It's a long way from the original photo to
that painting. We were there shooting again today. I've got about 7 more
of this genre that I could do. Photoshop is so much fun for things like
this. Gets expensive though. Thank god I sold one today. It'll pay SH
back for part of my meds and get some supplies. I'll keep posting the new
ones as I finish them. I'd like to get a couple more done before my show.

Yeah, this was one of those paintings that would make the shrinks think I
need a med change. ;>)

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
