Most everything was in range. Dr. said my cholesterol was up a little bit
and wanted to increase my dose of statin to double what I was taking. Well,
double nothing is nothing. Right? Oh and it *wasn't* up. It was down. He
actually only tested the LDL. That was 130 in July and is 110 now. That is
truly not high enough for me to worry about. I don't know if adding the
chia seeds, hemp nuts and flax seeds was helping or not because really I
haven't eaten them for many weeks due to the bowel problems they seemed to
have been causing. I will try adding them back in soon, perhaps at a lower
amount.

A1c is up. Was 8.7 last time and 9.0 now, despite having better numbers
and taking more insulin. So... Grrr... Still have to see the
dietician/insulin person in Jan.

Weight was down 1 pound since the last time I weighed myself so that means
10 pounds less than it was on the day I was married, almost 18 years ago.
So yay! Even though I am still overweight.

Thyroid would appear to be perfectly normal. *sigh* So that doesn't
explain my feeling cold all the time, the sleepiness, the sometimes
jitteriness, bowel troubles, skin and eye problems, hair loss, etc. I think
I will try taking a low dose of iodine but I will do more research on that
first. Perhaps that will shrink the goiter.

I think though that I was having an allergic reaction to the eye ointment I
was prescribed. When I first used it, I got immediate relief and within
about 4 days the blepharitis cleared up. Then some time went by. I
continued to do the daily eye scrubs but my eyes felt dry and irritated and
my SIL pointed out that my left eye was really bloodshot.

I began using the ointment again but I noticed that it made my eyes go from
pink to bright red, immediately. There seemed to be more swelling and then
the itching began. Today the itching was so severe it drove me up out of
bed and the ointment had been in only for maybe 6 hours. I had to use a
warm compress. That brought the redness down. Using the Similislan Pink
Eye drops brings immediate relief and whiteness to my eyes. I am also using
various tear formulas and some allergy drops. They will get white then
gradually pink up and swell again. The warm compresses really bring relief.
It's just that I am not going to be home all of the time and it's kind of
hard to do the compresses when out. I do have some disposable eye scrubs
which are better than nothing.

So... If this doesn't seem to have cleared up by Monday, I will go back to
the eye Dr. At least I have ruled out thyroid eye disease. It still could
be blepharitis. But I don't know for sure.

Oh and... Angela's labs were great! Thyroid is in perfect range. A1c is
5.2 and her C-Peptide is down to 7. I can't remember now what it was last
time but I think somewhere around 14. So it's still too high but it's much
better and she is back hardcore on her diet so... Maybe she will lose some
more weight.

Yeah. Losing 10 lb when you you bring 390 lb to the scale ain't nothing
to write home about.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying you are weighing in at 380 lb. No
one ever does unless s/he won't let everyone in on how much they really
weigh, and you have no problem letting your friends here know your real
weight. Right?

I don't think my weight is anyone's business. I take a size L, XL or
sometimes a XXL depending on the item, the brand and the make. My top is
larger than my bottom. So I can not wear two piece things. XXL is the
biggest size I have *ever* worn. Ever. I wore XL when pregnant. Most of
my maternity things were XL although a few were L. I did gain a little
weight right after the pregnancy. No clue why. I did go up to a size XXL
for my nursing tops for a brief period of time and then the weight came off.
Mostly I will have to go to the XXL if I buy a Junior's size which I don't
often do because they are aimed more at teens and younger women. I can say
though that I have never exceeded the weight limit for anything I've ever
seen with a weight limit on it, nor have I even come close to that limit.

You *do* realize that I could feed the above information into this
little app on my MSDOS 5 powered Android GPS and it'll tell me exactly
how much you weigh? In kilos, pounds and light years!
But since it's none of anyone's business.....

Whatever trips your trigger! But I don't think you know my height or how
muscular or not that I am so I highly doubt that your little device could
do that.

I can tell you that when I wore a size 12, I looked pretty thin although I
was *very* muscular. So much so in my arms that I couldn't always get
sleeves to fit me. And at that weight I was still considered overweight.
Not obese. Just overweight.

My friend Betty wears a size 14 and she looks very slim. I can't see any
excess weight on her anywhere at all. She is also tall, as I am. So a tall
size 14 would likely weigh more and look more slim than a short size 14.
