Hi Everyone, haven't been around for a while. Here's hoping everyone is well. Came across this article which may be of interest

The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star, Norfolk, VA 11-24-09

"But several studies have revealed a possible way to reduce the impact of a carb-laden dish: Add a little vinegar. Doing so seems to help slow the absorption of sugar from a meal into the bloodstream, apparently because vinegar helps block digestive enzymes that convert carbohydrates into sugar. "

Rest of article here. Hoping not to have infringed copyright by quoting too much of an extremely short article:)

I don't believe this.  I tried taking cider vinegar pills.  I did seem to lose some weight at first but they did nothing for my BG.

You need to take the real thing. Vinegar with ameal - as in an oil/vinegar salad dressing for example - will have a good effect in some people. It works for me.

Vinegar works for me as does mustard or anything that has vinegar in it.

Vinegar works for me. So does mustard and some other foods with lots of vinegar in them.

Hi Mack,
It says 4 teaspoons of white vinegar as a salad dressing, there was a 30
percent reduction in glycemic response. Unfortunately doesn't elaborate too
much further.
