Hi,
I tried Viibryd because of advertised reduced sexual side effects. It
turned out, for me, that wasn't the case...effects were similar to
Celexa with its typical sexual side effects. As far as reduction in
depression, and help with anxiety, it seemed to be working OK after
increasing dosage to max recommended during a three week trial.
I am now gradually reducing the Viibryd, and started Celexa + BuSpar. I
have not tried this combination before. The BuSpar may reduce the
sexual side effects of the SSRI, Celexa. I'm having vivid, epic dreams
while reducing the Viibryd--not unpleasant, exactly, but strange.
For me Viibryd didn't work out because of the sexual effects, however,
all of these psychoactive drugs affects everyone differently. And, for
some people, sexual issues are not as important as how well the drugs
relieve depression and anxiety. The high cost of this new drug, or high
co-pay if you have insurance, may be a problem.
