It's a cover story.

And it quickly went to glennsacks.com:

(You may have to scroll upwards. I just put in a comment.)

I'm surprised they didn't complain more about the articles
shortcomings.

It's only fair then that all men submit DNA profiles . ... and those
who don't pay get snipped.

The penalty for non-child-support is being snipped?
"If you aren't man enough to support the kids you already have
then you aren't man enough to have any more."
I *like* this.

I'd also like to see any woman who attempts to pass off one man's
kid as another get snipped as well. "If you're such a calculating
bitch to try to stick one man with another man's kid then you're
too venal to have another chance."

Hell, if I ran the world every woman would automatically (no choice) get a
free tubal when she delivered a baby. Eventually we would have several
generations of only children, and once global population dropped to a
sustainable 3 billion, women would be allowed to have two children, if
desired. Draconian, sure. The only way to stop the eventual demise of the
human race, yes. However, eradicating human beings is not a bad thing, so...

My favorites are the breedersows on the talk shows who have
to have DNA tests done to determine who da babeedaddee is ...
If you don't know who the father of your child is - you've been
fucking too many guys you whore! Unfortunately, since they know
no shame, this has no effect .. I just like saying it ;-)

The article is way too long and depressing, but I liked your comment.

Well, as I said, it IS a cover story......

I put in another comment:

Here's another likely reason paternity testing will not be required:
The Catholic Church.

Think about it. Why wouldn't the Church try everything to prevent a
mandatory procedure that would clearly not only encourage women to
have more abortions, but to use birth control more carefully? (IIRC,
the Vatican even claimed at one point that using BC is worse than
abortion!)

(end)

And it turns out Glenn Sacks himself DID complain about some of the
article.....

http://glennsacks.com/blog/?p=4405

What's odd is that Robert Franklin is usually the one on the blog who
has harsh words for bad women - or how the media portrays them and
innocent men. But in the link I gave above, that wasn't the case this
time.

Yabbut what happens if Something Happens to the kid?
You'll be depriving the woman of her Most Precious Thing!

I'd like to make prospective parents spend a year in a
childcare facility as part of the qualifying process
(yeah, only Qualified Prospective Parents will be allowed
to breed. Don't like it? Fuck off.)

That was a very perceptive comment! The Catholic diocese of
Washington, D.C. has threatened to cut off all services to the
homeless (and in that city their aid is substantial), if DC passes a
gay marriage ordinance. I think we're beginning to see a more right
wing political aspect to the Church than we've seen for awhile.

I'd like to see their 501(c)(3) status reviewed for that threat.

Nope. A man fucking around without the gumption to support
the results is merely a walking prick.

Not exactly. They have said that they will no longer be able to accept
contracts with the city for those services if they are required to
provide benefits to gay spouses.

Since I don't think that the city should be contracting with religious
organizations, I don't have a problem with this.

I do worry about who will take over those contracts, but that's a
different issue.

Sarah, in DC (and a church member too, just not that particular church)

This is a brief list of the best and worst states from the standpoint
of relieveing paternity fraud victims of child support obligations
following DNA evidence that they are not the fathers.

I should clarify that I have no situation, so it is not too late. I
am just highly interested in political migration, that is, moving for
the purpose of living under better laws, also known as voting with
ones feet. Corporations apperantly do this quite a bit and
individuals should do it more. More information on political
migration can be had at the yahoogroups in the recipient line. Also:

Hi,

Greetings and Happy Belated Thanksgiving. Thanks for writing with a
very good
question, but is not as simple as which state to relocate to.

Generally speaking, the concerned party must be aware of the state of
continuing
jurisdiction if already under a court or administrative order to pay
child support.A
man or teen boy must be concerned about the use of the long arm
domestic statutes
and UIFSA laws that assert jurisdiction over non-residents.

If you were the concerned party that happens to already be divorced in
a state that
supports the Lord Mansfield doctrine (1777) or the Uniform Parentage
Act (2002)
and discover that you are not the father -- it may already be too
late.

Short List (after considering state of continuing jurisdiction with a
current order)

BEST:
OH, GA, OR, IA, FL

WORST:
NY, CA, TX, DE, PA, NJ, NC, MI
